i intend to whack 1 casio edifice tough solar power watch.

nomos specifically is a Glashütte watch. to qualify as Glashütte watch is much like Swiss watch. in a Glashütte watch there are some very unique features ie blue screws, 3.4 plate, how a movement is decorated, some has swan/woodpecker neck others have a special ticking sound...

JW distributes Nomos. Hence, you should them out personally at the store.
Though their sizes are 39mm, there is little bezel, so the dial is rather large.

It wears bigger than you think.

Yes but to fly all the way there Just to buy watches everytime u wan one is expensive and time consuming....hk can arrange watches u wan wif ur dealer and fly there collect walk around then fly back

Hehe. I got my contacts in certain cities. Still worth the trip for me as savings can definitely cover air tix and hotel. Just the travel time.

Was in hk recently but didn't see any stuff worth getting despite the weakening hkd.

Hi! What is you guys' opinion of German watches like steinhart, damasko, nomos etc?

I guess their still quite uncommon?

I had the entry level ones like steinhart, laco, junghans, , zeppelin. They are really well designed and have reliable eta movements.

Good value vs comparable swiss marques.

I wear a 37.5mm and I feel its just right. my dial is ~36mm compare to the traditional 42mm watches your dial maybe just as big due to the large bezel.

Received my Visodate 6 days after my online order with Ace Jewelers (arrived SG yesterday but there were some screw ups with UPS).

Indeed a beautifully crafted timepiece, no regrets. Now it's time to source for 3rd party straps

Btw, inside the packaging, together with the paperwork, was a handwritten thank-you note from them. A pretty nice and personal touch!

just got myself a sinn u1 and have had to cut the rubber strap all the way to its shortest length...luckily it fit, otherwise gotta go for some weight gaining program already
