Omega definitely out of your budget if Stowa already is. Cheapest Omega Quartz brand new about $3k. Decently sized automatics about 4.5 perhaps.

anybody knows the pricing for hublot? what would be the cheapest?

and any other brands with similar design of carbon fibre dial?

what u have to ask cheapest Hublot cost, I suspect u may not be able to afford their watches. cheapest ~6k iirc, their carbon dial watch is ~20k and up

big brand names on carbon fibre dial cost $$$.
what is your budget?

looks like a cheap tourbillon-wannabe.

featuring the escapement wheel and seconds wheel to pass it off as a tourbillon is lame.

I partly agree with you that its a tourbillon wannabe.

However, there is a discernable difference between an exposed escapement and a tourbillon escapement

Real rolex is also pple think is fake.

Sometimes, i just wear my tag heuer and swing my wrist around rolex owners to let them get the idea that their watch is INFERIOR to mine.

hmm...tag also got fake one wat....

The tag heuer fakes are not as widely circulated as Rolex.

Only the grand carrera series is severely affected. Real and fake tag heuers are easier to distinguish as compared to real and fake rolexes.

If i wear a tag heuer watch, people will think im wearing a 2k watch immediately.
If i wear a rolex watch, generally people will wonder if its a real or fake.

Thats almost an instinctive and logical response.

Thats why i discount people who wear rolexes, because its probably not real.

I will generally ignore the fact that people are wearing rolexes. To me, they are also not wearing a watch because its only a current cash asset to them.

If you don't believe me, go ask luxury watch owners who do not wear rolexes.

Not that im saying its bad, but you should consider the numerous crimes perpetrated for a rolex, and the danger you put your family and friends into. Overseas trips may be filled with consternations of a robbery or theft.

Probably not a good time to bring up this topic, but where is a good (ie reliable and reasonably priced) place to look at used Rolex pieces?

I am looking to get one for my dad...he had something like a 16233 quite a while ago...

rolex-16233-n308-1.jpg

I was thinking of getting him the new release 116233 but itz really quite pricey for a new piece ($14k-ish)

I read that Peng Kwee is not really a good place to start, but they do have quite a number of used Rolex...any where else I should look?

Also, is buying brand new piece from HK really much cheaper?

The bottom line - wear what you like and what you can afford. Buying and wearing is about individual's preference. No right or wrong choice.

Maybe it's just you who doubt every single rolex is a fake, or everyone thinks you would wear a fake??

Im not the only one doubting the authenticity of everyone wearing rolexes btw.

What do you do when somebody asks you if your Rolex is real? - Page 5 - Rolex Forums - Rolex Watch Forum

Thats the problem with rolex, the authencity depends on the wearer. If a rolex is on me, its a fake. So i must become very satki, try too hard, so i can make the rolex real.

If i am wearing a tag heuer, even if im naked, i will still look like a rich man.

I wear tag heuer can teh all those people with submariners.
I just have to lift my wrist and say "real one" and rolex owners will be scared.

Unless they bring their warranty cards around and a case opener, i think everyone will think all rolex owners could be wearing fakes

hope nobody is jelly.
