steinhart is pretty good value, mostly using eta movements with decent finishing and design

oris dunno still can get at 1k or not. but limited choices. inflation and watches also increased prices.

If u compare AP,PP, Pam, Chopard LUC collection about the same.
FYI Chopard LUC makes ~5k watches a yr. GS mechanical was 5k before they ram up production to expend into the international market.

Competitive market more watch sold more revenue.
Seiko use to sell watch at loss not so sure about now.
Just hope Seiko continue to produce best bang for buck watch.

Seiko didn't lose money with those hi end watches but those low end watches killing their overall profits. Over produce low demand got to let go at under cost. Ppl who buy those non lux seiko most likely got them at a great deal.

think gnomon no longer carry the archimede brand. was there last wk. steinhart pilot is good too. mid 400-500 can get. since laco cost close to or above 1k.
