anyone knows whats the most affordable tag heuer watch now ?
As usual, the Formula1 series.

However, I will advise to get at least the Aquaracer series. For much better value, if u are not too concern about brand, google Steinhart Ocean series.

Wealthy people seldom wear luxury watches.............................:s8:

sure or not?? ..... then those who wore dont tell me that they are even poorer than me meh? Cannot be what, not logical since they can afford luxury watches that can cost at least a few thousand at the minimum. Those wealthy that dont waer watches may be ngau or skin allergic to watches.

Actually no one look down on you but you look down on yourself.

Nobody can look down on anyone base whether he is rich or poor.

Cos end of the story everyone lay flat when die.

We can never bring all the watches with us too.

Maybe you never seen how richer people then me look at me, so maybe you dont know the feeling. Probably you are quite well to do yourself thats why you dont understand that in society no $ means no status means you are just nothing. Ofcos everybody lie flat one day no doubt very true. BUt if everybody thinks that way, then why do so many people still hanker after wealth, status, recognition, face?? Are you telling me that society is at fault?
Or you saying i feel inferior is just my own fault becos of my own xxxx problem.

Hi seannie,

I personally don't think that just by getting a watch will make them change their opinion of you.

Perhaps it was the way you potrayed yourself to them?

Otherwise if you did not, then these people are just snobbish, and if so, why you want to hang out with them?

I have friends who are very rich (own few properties and cars), and also those who are just making a living as dispatch driver....and we all get along...nobody "judges" one another

Rather, I think a mindset change is needed

hi patryn

i think alot ppl talk alot of rubbish & criticism sarcastic remarks here, but i think you talk with the most sense here. All right! I will just heed your advice. Dont buy at all, even when one day i become rich, i will just be watchless. :s13: I especially like your last sentence. Epic. Wonderful. I will remember that.

Hi Seannie

Just to share my opinion of buying watches.

When I first started working many years ago I could not understand why would people be willing to spend thousands of dollars on a watch. However, for some of us, once we own one, there is a strong desire to have more. To be honest, I have luxury watches. But, these are paid using my own hard earned money as I do not believe in paying by installment. I think what is important is whether you enjoy wearing the watch and whether are you willing to pay thousands of dollars for a watch. For some, a nice sleek looking CK watch is good enough.

hi kinbalight,

not all people think the same way as your rich friends though. If people behave as snobs, they wouldnt be my friends in the first place. Did the thought ever crossed your mind that maybe those people who are snobbish are not friends, but could be some other kind of status eg relatives etc, which you cant just avoid hanging out with??????????

then similarly, just by buying a watch, doesn't mean they will change their mindset

by anyways, it's your money....happy hunting

Hi Kenenth, thanks for sharing your opinion.

I didnt just started working for a few years, by the way. I had been working for many years, and maybe one of the reasons why i still hadnt own a luxury watch is that i still not up to that level yet. Cheap watches i have though, but personally i dont like wearing them out as they dont portray anything at all might as well dont wear. Heavy & getting wet everytime i wash my hands is another problem. Hmm, i guess i should not even start on one at all, since you sound as though owning such watches could become addictive, which im rather afraid of (as you know, i already have addiction). Im just thinking like just own one really nice one will do for the rest of my life. If i could become obssessed over it, i better not touch it in the first place. Sounds like an addiction, once you start buying cant stop!

Thanks, i will get out this thread & return to where i belong. :D Which is the lower class.

Thanks for being the seconder. :D Living within one's means is easier said than done. Really very hard. And human just cant avoid being greedy. Very very hard not to become a victim in the present society.
