Pelagos looks better with bracelet compared to Blackbay. Blackbay is nice with the antique leather strap.

hmm i do not want the bracelet le....already have a submariner so dont want something looking the same....my plan is to take the vintage leather and then order the fabric strap....this way it will also be more tactical no one will know hehe...

yea, actually half the point of going with Pelagos is for its innovative spring loaded clasp

Hi guys,

What do you think of the Sinn 556 promo @ $990 which is value for money for a daily beater. What is the usual STREET price? Is 38.5mm dial too small. My current watch is 40mm and I think it's just nice but could be bigger.

Comments. Thanks

I find that the sinn 556A is abit small and not fitting...

Leather and fabric to play sports? The straps will stink very fast. :)

Actually looking at Stowa Flieger and then the Sinn came along.

Still have not cast my daily beater to stone. No rush.

Any recommendation for a budget of say $1,500 tops.

Wrist is 6.5" and prefer simplicity.

Thanks :)

Don't find a gilt dial + hands, and burgundy bezel isn't really tactical imo.

if not you should just whack a used tag heuer and use it as a daily beater.

or even a used seiko premier

tis one i seeing the orange monster for very long but the orange isnt really my style, so after a long time went n got one from the skywatches shop in peoples park complex

the leather strap wrist shot

i actually bought the bracelet version instead of the silicon strap cos if u do the math its is of better value. plus i dun want the silicon strap and i have never owned a bracelet where people praise the bracelet so much.

lume shot

personally i dunno much about wat 4-30 seconds accuracy, i see from my iphone, it is not a minute slow or fast in these 3 days so i think its ok. the lume is not blinding (hoped for brighter) but i remains very legible in thru the night so i'm happy can't help looking at the time more than the movie in the dark cinema to the chargin of my girlfriend.

i think this watch is a looker and it draws attention to my skinny <6.5 inch wrist (i'm 3-4 links on each end skinny) on my fattest days. the bracelet is really no complains, i shun bracelets becos it looks abit uncle-ish...i'm one of those who looks uncle-ish in a bracelet hence i have nv worn one. its got the extension being a divers watch for anyone who wants to wear it ard a wet suit or gloves or share wif dad (big guy, big wrists)

the leather strap is from the same shop as well, i dunno the market but the strap is a 24 mm paros which is trimmed to fit otherwise looks weird. the strap n trimming is a discounted price..

i'd say the bezel for is tight to turn n the screw down crown is abit hard to get around, for me at least.

i won't be diving in it or swimming even, but i think tis a fanciful dressy divers watch away from the sub look..

aiming for the orient ray as well...

its looks is really one of a kind, one of the few rare non generic looking stuff put out by seiko (until they start all the monster variations and thai limited editions)

the shiny bare metal bezel really makes the watch looks huge compared to a black bezel

i still find it heavy even on a zulu strap lol

this is 40mm with tegimented steel.
something i would wear daily as a beater

sinn 856

856_V.jpg

i'll take damasko's da36

their ice hardening is throughout the whole case vs surface hardening of Sinn

any comments about omega speedmaster professional 3570.50?
I have nothing bt praises for this moon watch. coming from someone who owns and flipped at least 20 watch in the last 3 years *not something to be proud of*, and finally found a right size and comfortable watch in bracelet to wear *depends on your wrist size*
as the saying goes *if this watch can go to the moon, it can go anywhere*
