Can some kind soul please advise me if I should choose the IWC Portuguese Chrono or the Rolex Explorer 2? What are the pros and cons between the two?
Thanks thanks.

the explorer 2 lugs are quite protruding. i'm wearing a 45mm radiomir but the explorer 2 lugs are still too long for my wrist. best to try them on n see which suits u best.

The clock is not suitable for use in SG because we have high humidity here.

whats the impact of high humidity?

I will use it in germany for 1 year then bring back to SG, but I heard there are ball bearing on the pendulum that one can use to adjust the clock mechanism due to different humidity and temperature.

As I understand, the cyclops can be easily removed. But as to how much impact that has on the resale value, I'm none the wiser.

EXP 2 is a sporty watch while the IWC is a dress watch. It depends on your needs.
And it ultimately boils down to which design you like better...

Aside from the above,

If you want aunties, uncles and GCPs to admire and stereotype you, get the Rolex.

If you want people who know watches and GCPs who know watches to admire you, get the IWC

Jap shy away from Rolex? Not the jap around me. I bet I know more jap then most ppl here.

There are ppl that collects Rolex, my pal in IB has like 50+ rolex under his collection. Ya stays in condo use LV , travel dine, church. he must not have IQ or dumb man according to the stereotype here. Odd ball?

I am surprise ppl can lose sleep and write a walls of text to shoot ppl wearing Rolex. Nothing better in life to do?

Yeah, most japanese people are wearing either hublot, panerai, iwc, omega, cartier and bvlgari.

What he wears is more important than what he collects

IB -

He probably uses those 50 watches as a hidden stash of cash in case the world ends...:s13:
Or as an investment to collect more moolah in future

Hi, I am not buying the watch to let people to admire. It is more like a reward for my hard work. What about the specs? Are they comparable? Both are nice in their own ways.

Hi bro, rolex explorer 2 new one is technically superior and has better build quality than the iwc. Resale value and prestige, you know the answer.

I handled the iwc portuguese chrono alot and the new explorer 2 once

You choose =:p
