how much will this cost?

Ppl estimate will be around $5-6k+.

Nice stealth look! ;)

Only available with the strap?

Should have other straps as well... :o

I'm looking for an 'executive' looking watch and have sort of narrowed down to two options:

One is the Baume et Mercier Clifton model:10053
And the other is an Omega DeVille model: 431.33.41.21.01.001
Unfortunately, I do not have enough post counts to post urls/pics.

I like the B&M Clifton a lot but not sure about the brand, reliability etc
I like the Omega brand (recently bought a Constellation for the wife) but design-wise the DeVille is a close second to the Clifton. Its a very close second - not a deal-breaker.

Which do you think will be a better buy (putting aside price factor) as as an impressive watch that will go with a suit or even a shirt and tie at an important meeting?

Thanks

B&M clifton & omega deville both look good, i think its really the branding & price that you have to decide.
but i have to say omega pricing is a bit crazy now, i rather you up more to get JLC master series

edit: cant seem to find a black dial JLC master control sorry...

For what it's worth, I think the Baume looks classier. Classic design that will stand the test of time. But if you want "impressive", then Omega is the more impressive name.

if that's the case, many fellow members will thank u for helping if u r sharing good lobang. :D

Would love to but unfortunately, as he is a director, so I can't freely share this lobang. If he were a staff on the shop front, then no problem with sharing.

I do have a couple of lobangs to share, though not as good as the one my aunt recommended to me....PM me.

If someone does intend to ask you to get it, how do they go about doing it? The process? Probably there's a limit to the number that your aunt can get?

I've no idea if there's any limit to the number of watches I can get. I'm getting 2 and I just pass the model numbers to my aunt and she will collect from his office, I think.
At least, that was how she got hers years ago, she bought 2 also, at that time.

Stowa just increased their prices by about 160 euros for the Antea 390 due to the change in the movement (A10 from Soprod).

Should have pulled the trigger earlier. :(

I think A10 is equivalent, if not better than an ETA2892-2. That why the price increase, cos the lower price is with an ETA2824-2.:)

Maybe first time okay, subsequently I'm sure the company will start questioning already.

Ah ok thanks for the explanation. I'm afraid I'm not that much of a watch fanatic to appreciate the difference between the 2 movements though lol.

The Antea 390 now costs approximately S$1300 (inclusive of 7% GST). Any other similar watches to recommend at this price point? Or is the Antea still one of the more value for money watches around?

I doubt you can find another watch with a Soprod A10 for S$1300. I say get it and prepare for the wait. :)
