I've an independent technician to do it for most of my purchases-on-impulse. If you're ok I can pm you the contact.

else you can go to JW - so far i've heard they are pretty good. I think there's another one at lucky plaza..... tophour was it?

Can ask if can service a vintage universal geneve polerouter which stopped moving suddenly I think is due to the movement fault. About 60 years old? Got one problem, the back case is really tight or really no way to open without machine. Still able?

Haven't seen in hk, the Frankfurt factory is outside of downtown and best accessible by car.

hey all, just curious do you all wear dress watch while wearing casual clothes like tshirts n shorts?

depends on the overall combination..... usually no

Like what yattokame said, usually no.

But I've seen a T-shirt/berms/leather sandals wearing guy with a JLC master control and it didn't look too bad. Could be the nice fit of both the shirt and berms, that contributed to the overall look.

I had my 47year old Pagol watch serviced here: Heirloom

Shawn, of Heirloom Gallery, did a great job and managed to find an original bezel for my watch too. And like yours, he mentioned that my Pagol watch caseback was really difficult to open so he had it sent overseas instead. Waited 3 mths for my watch to come back and it looked amazing!

Here's a small article that I wrote about my watch: http://www.sg-roc.com/threads/114417-The-quot-One-watch-to-Rule-Them-all-quot

Hi fellows. May I know if there's a more methodical approach to determine if my watch is gaining time per day? From a very rough observation, my piece is gaining a minute per day, & I will like to know how to "confirm this properly"; & if it really is the case, what may I do about it?

Nice! Be sure to share a pic of it when it arrives. Was contemplating between that or a Steinhart but eventually went with the Steinhart because of budget constraint... :s22: Love the textured dial of the C60!

Definitely will, very excited for it now :s12: originally was looking at the c5 malvern and visodates.. but the more I look at those the more "off" they feel to me. In the end still LL go back with my very first original choices, the Steinhart Ocean 1 and C60, but in the end went for the c60 as the ocean 1 looks like a plain copy of the submariner.. nothing against it though it is still nice, and priced appropriately too :s13: now time to eat grass for the rest of the year T.T

Haha yea man.. well not really without testing. Tried a tag heuer aquaracer 300m and omega smp on my wrists before.. since the c60 is similar to these watches, I figured that since both of these watches work on my wrists, why not just buy it. It is cheaper too, and christopher ward watches are pretty value for money imo. But still a rather huge sum of money for someone of my age.. wear confirm stress

Haha 20 at the end of this year.. :o young chap only.. but saved some money through intern and other stuff, so decided to buy something to reward myself :s12:

Good job!
Reminds me of my younger days :) I had a goal to own my first car by 21 and drive into Uni. Managed to do it. My own money.

I thought this idea of hard work does pay off is dead in your generation buy you probably have proven me wrong :)

Keep up the spirit!!!

Work hard and save more; and go for a rolex black sub. Absolutely timeless.
(I'm 35 btw.)

Why so? Return shipping is free iirc.
The lost here besides time is under $20, treat that as taking taxi to try watches locally

Haha hmm most probably will not get a black sub. Next in my list probably an IWC Pilot chrono hahahaha! Btw is there difference if I were to get an eta movement c60 vs a sw 200 movement c60?

Thanx for the information. I only buy watches online if I find a good deal online and have tried them physically at local dealers. Hence I never find out about return policies.

Bought a few online thru collectorstime.com but never returned because I already know I want them.
