wont say rolex is for showing off la, just happen that most ppl oni noe rolex does not mean ppl buy it to show off......

Still, you cant deny JLC are classics, caters to different league of people from rolex. You are person who finds classic simple watches appealing. Maybe you wear JLC can attract attention of a different category of gals from if you wear rolex. :)

It is a brand new watch. maybe only 3 wks old. If so, how do i ensure my time is off? Using the computer's time is accurate?

I usually just base my watches on the time on my Starhub set top box so I guess it doesn't deviate much from a computer clock. Why don't you observe it against another clock? Or bring it down to where you got it to find out if it's normal?

Out of curiosity, what watch is that?

Thanks. Looking at omega

I see. Try Far East Plaza then. You can also have a look at some of the websites like HJ, JW, Bronze Age and Passions for some idea on the pricing. Like all used stuff, condition and age are big factors in determining the price. Good luck on your search!

wah I still cannot find it in me to like JLC watches leh. But I like their atmos clocks.

Someone once said that JLC is acquired taste, I couldn't agree more to it for many.
However for me, it would be love at 1st sight. Now thinking whether to get a 4th. :)
Anyway, different brand / watch design speaks to different ppl so I wouldn't write off anyone's preference and taste :)

Happy watch-hunting

And sat, post office only opens until 1pm.

Good luck, and hope U don't have to wait till Mon.

Depends from person to person. Some people subscribe to the thinking "don't fix it unless it's broken", so if you're such a person, then there's no need to service if there's nothing wrong with it. Otherwise, just send it in for servicing.

If you buy from shops, they do usually provide some warranty. So you can wait till the warranty is over before deciding whether to service. If there's any problem in between, make use of your warranty first.

no lah far from being a pastor. free thinker some more.

nope, a mix of elderly and entire families - some things that I never thought I would see in singapore until you really get down there. it almost feels so surreal. Can you imagine 2 families sharing a one room rental flat? with 7 children in all, youngest being an infant and oldest no more than 12? These are the people who do not know how to call for help, nor who to turn to. Just that they are nor reported in the media does not mean they do not exist.
I have also seen and know for myself the very rich - 7 cars, with a couple of supercars. Even an ex-neighbour of mine had 5 cars, and the cheapest was a GTR. and my current neighbour now just got himself a gallardo. both same age as me. It is this huge divide I encounter on a regular basis that I stopped whinning about life and start appreciating what I have, and not dwelling on what I do not have.

At the end of the day there is only so much you can eat and spend. We can choose to give others a hand with an encouraging word - it does not cost a cent. And when you start doing charity, it's pretty addictive. You know you make a difference to someone else's life.

whether the ultra rich do charity or not is beyond my control - I just do what I can.
nothing wrong with being materialistic - I am, too, I do not deny. It's like a revenge mentality I have due to my growing up years in poverty. Now that I can, I will. But also DO reach out to the less privileged. I have been there, so I want to give them this thing called hope.

I give not because I am rich, but because I know the feeling of having nothing.

wall of text and..... honestly I don't know what I'm blabbering on about hahahahahaha
end of the day, if you have a job and can put food on the table, that's all that matters ain't it? :)
Well said bro. I love to get to know you one day. Buy you a cup of coffee and hope to make a friend.

I think as long as moisture doesn't get in when rinsing under tag water should be ok. Nobody takes a sub to dive lah. It's like our SUVs never goes offroad even if its meant for it

Well too a Rx off road b4.
Nobody in sg will do that else where possible

It's supposed to be the oldest watch manufacturer in history I think. Their watches entry level 30-50k I think ... Quite often 6 figures...
Very well respected in the horological world ..

I can't afford it for sure ... Even if I can also dont know how to appreciate
