What do you guys think? Can't seem to decide between this two. I was looking at the Omega Seamaster at first, but didn't want to splurge on my first decent watch. :):o

how many mm are these?

if i recalled correctly, the longines face was quite small and doesn't command much presence. Wear already people wont give a 2nd look at it.

Ball looks nicer imo.

你爽就好:D

Frederique Constant, today went to check out their range at Ngee Ann City. Pretty decent watches..wont cost an arm/leg for an automatic with inhouse movements. Nice showcase of their movements from backglass too. 25% off retail price.

could it be this?...

Nope; it looks like (& may very well be) this:

...Currently looking at Longines Hydroconquest...

I took a look at this model recently, & though I probably can't afford it, I am disappointed that they "printed" an additional "(300 meters)" right beside the typical "30-bar" pressure rating. I mean, I'd expect to find this kind of elaboration on a brochure but not permanently on the actual watch (face) itself:

...If the watch is still running fine then servicing shouldnt be too exp...

@yattokame: any to recommend for regulation? Have a 2893-2 that's gaining time.

I prefer the Ball for the tritium and the date magnifier.:)
And I heard only good things about Ball Service Centre.

The ball's 40mm:s13:
and Longine's 41mm. Should fit nicely on my thin wrist.

The ball fireman racer looks small too.
MookieTea, have u seen fireman classic?

Yeah, but it's slightly dressier than what i'm looking for.

Yea 2-2.5k :o Actually i'm leaning towards the submariner kind of design but rolex's way over my budget.

Stowa - no where, u can seek out forumers to let u see their watch. Long wait time, they don't have to deal with store, tons of ppl order online.
Nomos - JW if they still carry but in any case they have very limited range. Pretty same issue as stowa.
Seiko JDM - Japan! Domestic model good luck trying to find store.

Hey guys

Anyone knows if taipei is a good place for watches?

The last time I was there was back in 2007; and the shops gave me a pretty good price even before I started bargaining. Better than what I can get from ADs here. But that was many years ago......dunno how it is now.

If prices are good I might go there for a family holiday thanks :)
