I'll assume you want one to wear to work. try these:

As someone mentioned earlier, Tissots are a good bet at the sub-1k range:
Tissot Visodate (automatic) - if you prefer a more "mature" look

I bought it one year ago.. after trade-in $100 + 15% NTUC Plus card discount. around $400+

not bad looking, any idea what movement it uses?

It's automatic by hand movement. hand-winding also can...power reserve about 30hours iirc. Hacking also possible
but everyday I still turn about 20-30 times clockwise daily in the morning when I am on my way to work...

Wah means actually 500 plus after discount la...quite ex in humble opinion. For that price i sure hope u got a swiss movement and not a chinese movement or miyota/seiko movement. But still not bad looking and i used to own a 25 hours quartz in my youth and it proved to be tough and reliable.

after all the discount is $450+... I think at that price range ok bah.. automatic by hand movement + date, day, month display + sun/moon dial

me too... before this I owned a 25hours chronograph+date watch with quartz and leather strap for 3years. very reliable indeed...
my first 25hours quartz watch was a gift from my wife about 8yrs ago... it was a Valentine day gift.
can pass as a loyal 25hr watch fan bah... lolx

other than milgauss and omega aqua tera, what other watches are antimagnetic?

There is a good number out there, what's your budget?
Ie
Ball hydrocarbon series are anti magnetic to 12000 a/m
Panerai don't recall which num is rated to 80000 a/m, Sinn pilot watch and damasko also same rating
Ocean 7 LM6 but discountinue
Speedbird III too

Antimagnetic at what rating? Do u need it?

I am always interested in cheap and local products.

Ya the dark brown looks very classy. I am actually more of a fan of these kind of leather straps than the other metallic kinds.

i read from a watch magazine that the anti-magnetism technology will improve the time accuracy for automatic watches... so I just wanna find out whether will it reduce the +/- seconds of the watch
example from +/- 50 secs/day to maybe about +/- 20 secs a day.



An actual photo of an Orient watch... the indicators on the dial are popped up... It looks really smart and classy =)

If I didnt remember wrongly, it is a 43mm.. my wrist is quite small imo.. it was the watch which I set my eyes upon when I walked in..

I think the black version is nicer. However, do take note that the diameter of the watch is rather big. Personally I do find the dial to be messy, though its a unique way to read the time.

Budget is about milgauss range.. If I'm not wrong, can get it at high 9k right? Thinking of alternatives to milgauss. If not, will probably hoot that if it looks good on my small sub 6" wrist.

40mm migauss used cost ~5-7k, a black milgauss new cost 10k white 1-2k more.

Hoot a pre own rolex that is 5-6 yr old better value IMHO
