what does everyone think of this?

Flieger Original B 3H108

"affordable" but always oos, damn even if willing to pay premium for other brands also have to wait :s27:.

love the full lume as even laco & stowa skips the lume on 12, 2, 4, 6, 8, 10.

but it only has mineral glass instead of sapphire crystal.

btw, those with pilots wear them with pin buckles or slap on a deployment to preserve wear & tear on their straps?

currently leaning towards the laco for faithfulness to authenticity, but arrrgh... still prefer the full lume on the aristo.

decisions... decision...

ok... thoughts on squale vs steinhart for rolex sub homages?

for the times when bringing the bling will risk it being robbed in sungei wang so some other crime ridden slum/locale...

am i right to observe that steinhart's cyclops sucks and that squale magnifies better.

more expert comparison & contrast appreciated. :D

You don't need a Fedex acct to buy a Stowa! :D
The reason we open a Fedex acct is because we can buy a Stowa at nett price (minus ~19% VAT) but will need to pay GST when watch arrive in SG. Fedex will bill us the GST and handling fee.

If you buy from Stowa at their EU price (including 19% VAT), then you don't need pay any other taxes when it arrive in SG.

Hope this is clear enough. :)

yah i knw this. i thot to buy via fedex account more wu hua since its 19% vat off?

abit troublesome thats why decided not to take their pilot watches.

Aristo is nice too, and u get ETA movement. For Laco unless u pay 4 digits, u get miyota movement

You meant too ex or too cheap?

I think my colleague has one (boy size), he wanted to give to his adult son, who does not want it. I jokingly offered $2.5k to buy from him. What's the market rate?

2.5k is a good price, slightly below market rates.
