Nice bottle you have there. :)

They cost 1k plus at Auld Alliance. But they're a cheap bargain compared to the bigger brands.

And damn bloody good too.

Cool, thanks. I've been there a couple of times. The wall-to-wall of bottles is a wonderful sight.

I tried a 1968 Duncan Taylor once, at a relative's place. Bloody amazing stuff. My friends are all whiskey nuts so at some point I'm sure we will buy one of these circa 60s/70s bottles to enjoy. Cheers

*sorry for OT*

^^ wearing a Patek is not just whether can afford, need the status to go with it too. I.e. Must be some high level big shot for example. If you strike big sweep and say just a normal engineer, teacher or accountant , wearing a Patek while working at your cubicle just doesn't match. Just sharing some views....

Lol time to rack up 10 posts.. anw I'm not sure if its you or another user that owns a Sinn watch. Do you have any idea whether my budget is suitable for Sinn watches? Thanks!

My Sinn ezm3.. bought it under UOB promotion. Forgot the actual price. But it's cheaper than U1 by about 3-400 dollars

Thanks for the suggestions people. I think I'll most probably get an aquaracer or MM.. Well I love the mm, bt as one of the bros have pointed out above, some might drown at spending so much for just a seiko.. Which unfortunately, my parents would most probably be. Maybe I'll take them down to big time some day for them to handle the watch keke ^^ else I'll try to convince them to get a pelagos :p

If u have some savings, my recom is to chip in for your own gift (i believe if alrd discussed w ur parents budget, respect n stick to it) n go for the pelagos (subject to u trying on yourself n liking it).

Having seen n handled it, i would say it has the potential makings of a modern classic and suitable for young men (like u). Getting a piece of rolex-related brand but none of the rolex "uncle-ness".
