Thanks again to all e suggestions. Been looking thru all e brands that are suggested by bros here. Found a few ones that I really like but all of them are over budget.

Still deciding to get pre-owned or break my own promise to spend more than I can afford...
Another option is to look around for something new within my budget

Anyway these are e few that caught my eye even though out of my budget at e moment.

1. Zenith EL PRIMERO CHRONOMASTER 1969
Was afraid it might be too dressy for my t shirt & jeans attire.

2. Tudor heritage chrono. The grey n orange version. The blue one looks great too but might be too loud...

3. Omega seamaster & planet ocean.

4. Omega speedmaster

I love the Zenith piece and the Tudor piece the most. Kept having their images in my head...

Maybe she feels you should pamper yourself more. Anw have you taken a look at Longines legend diver. Retail about 3.2k. Good versatile piece.

A love for chronos.
Zenith ~9k new preown are hard to come by
Tudor on un mod eta and DD chrono module, more case maker. New at ~6k

Stay within what u can afford, it's not a necessity!
note they are over your budget by alot since your budget is 3-4K.. if 3K, going 6K is double!

Looking to buy a watch for myself to mark my 10 yr working life. Work attire is jeans n t shirt, maybe polo tee. So not looking for too dressy watch.

Budget is very limited - ard 3 to 4k only.

Any suggestion?

Awww.. just when i thought i had decided on the omega speedmaster, my friend had to poison me further by bringing me to try a Rolex Submariner ND.

I had tried both watches and they looked nice. Ohh such a dilemma, both watches are icons of their brands and looked soo good.

My mind says Speedmaster, but my heart says submariner. Any bro can help me out here....... :s11: :(

A love for chrono indeed even though when I started searching I did not have that in mind. Will never get e chance to use e chrono function.
But I will happily take a non chrono too. Like e sub that lord kang just bought. Or even a PO. But guess that will have to wait for many years.

Bro patryn or any bros that can help, on e Tudor would servicing outside Rolex service centre be a problem given that it has a add on module?

wait a few yr more and it will cost lot more than today. price increase waits for no one. LOL

with regards to DD module, U can do it outside.Tudor just buy stuff and assemble them. U might as well go for a Longines column wheel chrono.
https://www.tourneau.com/shop/brand/longines/column-wheel-chronograph-4777p

Speedy will be outside your budget too get used
ie
Bronze Age

Nice GP. Chrono but small by today's standard
http://www.jwwatch.com/product-information.asp?id=5068&cat=100&stype=1

just brand go for a mid size preowned cartier
Bronze Age

If PO is your thing only pre own fit your budget
http://www.monster-time.com/product.aspx?id=1219&scid=17

Or perhaps a stowa chrono

Why must it be quartz ? Auto or manual is much better.

If u asked me to spend that amount for a quartz, I would rather don't buy.

There is a a good reason y dress watches are made in Quartz. Cuz u don't get to wear these watches everyday. And you will want to pick it up anytime and it tells the correct time

Personally it's the sub, no need to think, bulletproof movement, lots of history, and being Asian, rolex is more branded.

I kinda prefer the non ceramic bezel to the new ones

the sub is THE classic sports watch to get. I prefer the ND to the date version - the dial looks neater.

honestly it commands more wrist presence and looks more masculine to me. the chronograph function on the omega (or even a daytona) is really hardly used. not saying you will bring the sub for a dive but its water resistance is that good.

I would have gotten the sub ND but decided against it as I will hardly be wearing it at all.

buying watches, or any purchases for that matter....... is always a matter of heart versus head. the good thing is your heart chose something with good value retention, so just go along with it :)

btw my fren is buying the sub ND today or tmr - if u wanna tag along with him just pm me. maybe you guys can get group discount :)

hmmmmm I'm thinking of changing my bracelet to a strap for a while for that dressier look.

wonders if my blue dial works for a black strap....?
