The extra buttons I dare say for 90% of us is for extra servicing cost.

My guess, servicing is $1k plus?

Dunno about more atas brand chronographs cos i cannot afford, but for omega chrono with 1861 movement, the servicing cost is $900. I do use the chrono function for timing my soft boiled eggs ahaha.

You are probably not alone. I rather use my iphone function than chronograph if I needed to time something.

My point is that while most of us, myself included would buy a luxury brand watch for the looks more than anything else, we should be mindful to understand and know how to use the watch's functions/features.

It's quite paiseh if you are unable to answer when someone asks about how to use/read the button/dial/bezel on the watch.

heng my wife doesn't like diamonds or other gem stones on watches, the only rolex model that she likes is the sub no date....
for dress watch she is thirsting to buy a cartier...

Same here, wife doesnt fancy diamonds. I got her a yachtmaster instead...

I have this also and like you, dont use the chrono at all but my strap cui liao, it stinks a lot for the leather underneath, so i never bought a replacement at all but went 3rd party...

yes we spent an entire morning from the moment the AD opened until I took the fotos.

try this try that, walked around with both watches, posed, took pics, asked her frens, etc...... she really does like the Hublot as it's a diff watch from her collection so far - fashionable and modern.

her decision was because she also felt that she would prefer an AP ladies (hear that, Triste?) with diamond bezel instead of this hublot, so she got the Rolex this time round. Ready for CNY and her 35th birthday about 16k

her mum and aunt were also in the area.....and ended up buying two more Rolexes as well. Then a fren saw my post on FB and also popped by to buy a daytona. as I am typing now, I am still at the AD and my fren is settling his payment. Another one may be popping by soon to get herself a chopard.

going for lunch/dinner/whateva you call it at this hour, first. come back later......

worst part is i didn;t drive. so if you see a guy with four (3 watch boxes and one freebies) AD bags on the train with a PP later, yes that's me.

seriously I am quite shocked as well. like i said, its only this year why so suddenly got so many ppl buy watches, and hence my feel that things are getting overly rosy.

my fren did say it's becos of all the wrist shots I post on my FB that got them asking me; yes I very cheapskate always go try watches one.

Well. .. if you frequently buy from the same SA...I'm sure they don't mind you trying..cuz they know...try and try and try... one day you will buy...

Even now my wife also tell me to stop looking at other watches liao since I wanna hoot a sub... heehee...subconsciously she has agreed to let me buy a sub ^.^

y? mind explaining? for me i feel sub like too common already. i feel bb and pelagos looks lots better than sub. problem with rolex imo is the watch face too many words already. but end of day different people different taste.
