Should not be an issue. Just buy from reliable 2nd hand dealer shops and save yourself a few K.

Usually, luxury watches are well kept by people.

that's subscribing to the car theory: once it rolls off the showroom floor into a buyer's possession, instant 30% drop in value.

more "sensible" in the sense that you let the 1st owner take the first huge hit in price first.

however, a pre-owned piece comes with its own uncertainties as you're not aware of it's usage/abuse history. it could have been barely worn and sitting in a watch safe all this while or it could have water damage.

If it's to commemorate milestones in your life, or to mark an anniversary or some significant events, i'll go for 1st hand. Else 2nd hand do fine for me, just get from the more reputable sellers
