More pics of my Explorer 1.. Hopes you guys are not sick of it.. I know I'm not. :o:D

Observed Hong Kong ppl that most of them wear Rolex as their luxury watch, guess it is a brand they held in high regard? There are already a few retailers across a street.

Chatted with a local SA there, The well received models by Hongkees are the sports series while for Tudor are the classic series.

Most i spotted who wore the sports Rolex are ladies.... Man they looked hot and classy with the subs. One wore a Daytona and one wore an explorer 1 like mine. Certainly a different taste of elegance when they wear these sport Rolexes!

Sooo Vanilla way.... Get a sport serie Rolex! ;)

So chio how to get sick of seeing it? Or is this a lao chio? :s13: The Explorer 1, regardless whether 36mm or 39mm, has this timeless look. A true beauty. But then, I may be biased :s13:

A submariner be it brand new, pre-owned/vintage will have peers complimenting it! Pretty sure about it... It's that good, ladies with sub/rolex sports ;)

Very true. I've seen a lot of girls, of all build, with Subs and GMT Master IIs and the watch really look good on them. The beauty of watches is that there's a watch for every occasion and also a watch for almost every budget.

brand whores or not, they match dressing extremely well, even if it's a brandless item.

Very happy to share my joy of purchasing this watch today!
The actual colour is much nicer than this picture (lighter with some purplish tint) + the sunburst dial just won me over

Very happy man now! :D

very nice, was seriously considering this or the H Moser...
Blue is the best colour among the 3

Any recommendations for gd watches in the following budget range? I'm looking for buy for myself :D

26 y/o female, approximately 5.5" wrist. Looking at automatic movements. Do not mind gents or unisex models but probably not looking at ladies size( personal preference- do not like watches that are too small faced). Open to new and preowned.

Budget: 3k++ : Can either go down Choice A or Choice B

Choice A: Get 2 watches
1 Watch capped @ Around $2k + Maybe can still look into another vintage rolex as add-on

OR

Choice B: 1 Watch
Capped @ Around $3k ish

But currently a bit more inclined to Choice A because I would love to get a vintage rolex. (Means have to forgo blackbay :()Suggestions pls :s13:

For vintage rolex, you could visit some second-hand shops that specializes in watches. Take a look at precision watches located at golden landmark, pretty good prices when i got mines 2 years back.

Yep, I have just gotten HTB's wedding gift there last week. To my delight I found out that my parents want to fund for his watch so here I am looking for something for myself with the 'unspent' money :s13::s13:

Been long since I pampered myself with something I like so hehe.

Was the Breitling Superocean Heritage 42 ever mentioned? Worthy enough?

Breitling%20Superocean%20Heritage.JPG
Nope.. not much talk on breitling in this thread so far.. I heard they have been hitting hard at the China market and pretty popular there so prices are going up it seems.

Thought they were more of an aviation brand and they have that famous model that has the function to send out distress signal. The superocean is pretty "famous" too though.. Did they sponsor some deepsea diving record-setting/expedition or was that the IWC aquatimer

hi guys

current watches

1.5k or thereabouts

or

i know my wrist don't seem too big

i know the movement of the stowa is similar to the movement in the steinhart

:o

My humble honest opinion, neither.

You already have a chrono in terms of stowa which is miles better than the steinhart, which is why you paid at least 1k more.

As for the ball, you already have a simple dress watch with your CK.

I haven't seen the stowa on you but I'm guessing it fits better than what the steinhart is right now.

And despite what the web says my experience with steinhart dlc wasn't pleasant at all, it chipped off when i merely grazed it against the edge of the table, wasn't even a knock. May be mine was a lemon.

And like you said, the watches are similar with what you have.

All that being said, if you really like it and don't mind the similarity then just get it. ;)

Based on your research and our suggestions when you were hunting for your hubby, what are the few watches you have in mind right now? Cause the budget is pretty similar so the choices can't be too far off now right.

If I remember correctly, the top of your wrist is about 45mm wide.

From what I recall, you were interested in

Rolex airking
Rolex datejust
Tudor BB

Im open to suggestions haha. Cos getting a watch for myself is different from a wedding gift to htb. Dont have to necessarily come from the 3 above..good to know more options haha.

I think deep down in your heart you already have your answer.

because I would love to get a vintage rolex.

It's at itch that will not go away until you scratch it. :s13:

I know.. cause I had that itch with my sub and no matter which other watch I bought to soothe the itch it never went away until the sub was mine. Now i feel at peace. lol.
