wouldnt pay a lolek look alike GS for that price. its still a seiko.

eg- my colleague casio have so many technology. but i tell him its
a casio and cant beat my sumo..
or my frns cheap japanese car that modify till siao to run like
a better branded sports car... at the end its still cheap car brand..
again just my opinion. haha sorry

Classic timeless look, a number of Rolexes will fit in that budget. There's the 6694 and DJ to begin with. More unique, Azimuth will definitely fit the bill. Chronoswiss too. If you take your time, you might be able to find a Chronoswiss Orea. Enamel face that looks like a bit like a pocket watch

Wah this chronoswiss is wicked!

In other words you are a pure brand *****, one level up yatto bro.

Cause GS is more than a "rolex look a like" and in the first place they don't look like rolex.
I think what he is saying he won't buy homages?

Some pics maybe?:s13:

I have to admit sevenfriday has a very strong identity and it's very unique in its design. certainly something I will look at for a conversational starter but not sure about reliability?

Miyota no worries 82s7, straight from factory u can see the specs on accuracy and pwr res. movement price under $100 paying more for design

it's a citizen miyota, what's there to worry about in terms of reliability? ;)

I don't have any wristshots for 7F. Here's one i posted earlier after changing straps. (I found the original full white strap impossible to carry.)

It's quite a beauty. What's your missus wrist measurement?

If I understand correctly what he's saying is what most general consumers are saying, that they won't pay top dollar for a GS cause in the end it is a "seiko". ;)

+1 on this intepretation. GS is definitely the path less taken. Most people who are not watch-crazy and just get a couple of "good" watches to match their wardrobe, will probably bypass the GS and go for a rolex or other swiss brand.

Appreciating the GS and taking the plunge on GS (vs other similarly prioed options) are quite distinct, for myself at least :s13:

Lucky as production vol on these are small, with strong demand prices will be crazy high like early PAM

I'm surfing on a mobile and haven't had time to read thru the posts.

Wrist is 15.5cm. Toywatch, swatch, I'm not interested.
The last two watches I have is from skagen. Slim and small face.

your choice very wide...

Chrono and Pilot...

If Swiss-made:
- Tudor BB (5K i think)
- Omega Speedmaster / Seamaster (7K range)
- Zenith Winsor
- Tag Heuer Monaco
- Breitling Navitimer
Question mark will be Rolex Sub. brand new regular Sub iirc is around 10K. Sub with date will be around 11-12K. Maybe Yatto or All in a Day or Partyn can help out on the pricing?
haha i have quite a wide taste range :s13:

will take a look at your recommendations..

why question mark for rolex though?

can any1 advice me on what are some of the reputable 2nd hand watch dealer in sg?

have been reading up online, and buying second hand watch seems like a risky affair.. so i rather pay abit more to buy from a more reputable dealer.

I got my 2nd hand omega from HJ watch @ Far east plaza. their prices are slightly on the higher side but the uncle working there is really friendly and they openly advertise their prices on their website unlike other 2nd hand dealers. if you can't find anything you like there, u can look at monster time gallery just around the corner, their collection is smaller though
