What do u guys think of this watch?
B&R is one of The brands id avoid. No history, no creativity, no major selling point and obscene price. :s22:
For VAT refund, doesnt matter whether you paid for the purchases in cash or credit. You can still choose to have your refund in cash or credit.

for VAT refund in cash, will have to Q up a 2nd time to get the refund. can be quite time consuming at the airport. sometimes the cash refund counter will run out of euro's and they will give you in other currency. in such cases, the exchange rate can be quite poor
Good info.

I got mine through credit card too. I mean it's much hassle free. Even if the refund comes in late, I don't worry since it will come in sooner or later.

What do u guys think of this watch?

Not a big fan of Bell & Ross. It started off as a fashion watch brand in 1992. They advertised a lot in women fashion magazine. Thats why a lot of women like their big square watches. Their movement are just variant of ETA2892 ( ETA2893, etc with a chrono module added for the chronograph version).
I would advice u to save up a little more and get a Zenith Captain elite with an in hse movement. Btw, Zenith is equipping their lower end watches with Sellita movement soon. Grab them while u can. :)

Just fyi, Sinn used to make watches for B&R back in the early days when B&R startup. Sinn would have been a better value watch compare to the insane prices of B&R.

If get automatic watch but won't wear frequently ...is ok right?

Will there be problems if the automatic watch do not run for long days? Maybe wearing once per week when I go out.

Can educate/share with us about this brand and watch? :)

Gnomon watches at Beach Road sells them. Last time I checked they are one of those like Steinhardt that make affordable mechanical watches in the $1k to $2k price range iirc. Using ETA movements I think, and such micro brands are the ones ppl are saying may not be able to survive when SWATCH fully stops the supply of their movements, as they are not big enough to start their own manufacture....dunno, worth reading up before buying.

No problem. Whether to keep it going or rest is a big discussion on it's own among watch circles. IMO, for your case I would allow it to stop and every time u want to use it just wind a bit, adjust time and strap it on. Rather than let it run on a winder, say, and wear the gears and lubricants when 6/7 of the time it's not on your wrist.
