prefer something simpler. Hulk looks nice... but alittle too loud and colorful for me.

so i bought the black one without date.

Somehow I prefer the sub over the sub-date. My vote goes in the following order, black or green and last blue.

Black because most versatile but drawback is that its most common and more subtle. Besides black I would likely go for the green over blue (if looking at something less subtle) because I think it excludes more class.

Actually I have seen a guy in eating in a hawker centre wearing the hulk. Seen pictures of the hulk but I have to admit the real thing looks much much better than in photos. Kinda drawn to it for a moment , somehow blue lacks that.

Hands up anyone who uses leather strap? I just got one from Panatime for $80/90-ish for my Pam and want to know what kind of habit to have to avoid it stinking in the future. When I was in my teens I remember a strap that stunk, but that time never take care la.

Or do you guys avoid leather straps altogether in hot and humid Sg? Pam (most including my model) don't have steel bracelet.

Really appreciate your input.

don't wear when you are doing activities that sweat alot. allow the leather to breathe.

my tissot i only wear to work and sometimes out but all in aircon. so far smells ok. haha maybe i naturally smell good. oops :o:o:s13:

For me when I wanted to get a Rolex, I did not prefer a cyclops...thus I had to rule the Explorer II out

Then betwenn Explorer and Sub 114060, I felt the Sub although the more common model... suited more occasions to wear the watch (safe) so settled for Sub.

However, as many people will attest, you spend so much money on this watch...go with your heart. Doesn't matter how it looks to others. For example, I am not a fan of Franck Muller designs but others may loath it

Happy weekend all :)

To me the cyclops looks very good on certain models daydate, datejust etc. No issues with me at all. In fact it made them instantly recongisable and I will consider them trademark of rolex. But slap it on a sub it just doesnt seems that right to me.

When u were teen u probably did PE, play soccer etc with the watch. As adult, so long u dont use it for activities/occasions that u r expected to perspire alot, it should be fine

THanks. Hope you are right. I today in office straightway take up use tissue wipe the sweat and let it air dry for a few minutes. heh.

Part n parcel of a Pam is to keep changing straps :D
why u think there are so so many suppliers making/selling PAM aftermarket straps.

buy a couple of different design/colour straps and rotate it...giving it a fresh look once in a while

I too prefer without the cyclops. Hence my initial choice was the submariner... until i tried the explorer 1 and was *seduced* by it. Kee kee, the rest is history. ;)

My preference now for Rolex is the new SD4000 but my dream dream watch, is to own the AP Royal Oak and i'll be content..... :o=:p

I too like the Explorer, very clean design and great for my suits and ties. Maybe I will get one eventually =:p

As for dream watches...hopefully a Patek as my holy grail :D
