The extra work to get that patina must be pretty crazy. Any idea what kind of leather is that?

Hamilton is nicer, this is a very small watch.... :(

Seriously, its the significance of receiving/entitled to receive the watch (cos of the freedom that comes with it) thats most impt, not the watch itself.. I know of many friends dont even bother to collect. SAF cannot even bother to pay abit of postage to deliver to our NSmen..

eh? I received it during our MR ceremony leh. why need to deliver?

Depends on unit. Eg if u MR off cycle not with the whole unit or no ceremony or simply cock-up (its the SAF n it happened to my friend). They rather send u a letter to go to the unit to collect than send the watch direct to u...

Yes easily the most expensive watch in my ownership, paid for with sweat and injuries over > 10 years... Priceless =:p
