I actually like the gold markers on the stock leh :D
Dont quite fancy this modded dial.

Crap now I'm considering modding a blue one. I need to be stopped.

Look at those indices.. Just look

Mod lei, then SIC here. So far I feel the blue fff dial doesn't match the 53 bezel too well.. Stock like sexier.. Change my mind!

Approximate measurements:
Case diameter: 28mm (without crown), 35mm (with crown)

Really downsized :D but is that the only colour?

thats a man-sized crown at 7mm :)

i think ladies can pull off a diver at 35-38mm without crown with today's oversized/chunky fashion trends.

I've never really been that into watches; my "collection" consists of a PP 6000G Calatrava(would have gone with a simpler look if I had knew better back then), a Bvlgari Diagono Chronograph(I blame it on the first Iron Man movie) and a pair of Timex Weekenders worn as the the namesake suggests.

Lurking on this thread over the past few weeks has really poisoned my mind ! I ordered a Bambino recently(Black/RG), and was contemplating ordering one more (White/TG) when I realised that I could use a cheap diver; so I got a Seiko SKX007.

The thread was moving so quickly that people must have missed my question on where we can obtain replacement springbars for Seiko watches as I misplaced mine when I was adjusting the clasp; but I figured that K2 must have had them so I went over yesterday, and the rest was history.

While helping me to resize my bracelet, Mr Goh mentioned that there was a ladies' version of the SKX007; thought it would be cool to have a "couple" watch so I bought it.

Two HWZ-ers(I'm pretty sure) came by soon just as I was leaving, to take a look at the SNZH57 and 53. I let my curiosity get the better of me, took a look at the '53, and ..

Yattokame tribute shot..

Under the sun, the blue is UNREAL.

Bonus "shades of SevenFriday's IG account" shot

nice choice of the blue 53 with a dark reddish leather strap. one of the harder combis to pull off. (the other being silver dial and light brown strap).

if you like the 53 you should look and feel the seiko sumo sbec003 a.k.a. "blumo". pictures won't do it justice, you have to feel the weight of the watch and quality of finish to redefine "value" diver.

woah, the thread has moved so fast since the last time i was here discussing about the orient mako

given a choice between the mako and seiko 007, which watch would you guys pick, and why? a friend recommended this model (seiko) to me.

i'll heed the advice here, will try wear it every weekend when i have enlisted!

Precisely the reason why I have never consider other colours.

Also wish everyone Happy Mother's Day

dials purchased. I am modding two pcs of the blue seiko...... one for myself one for my dad.

can give me some suggestions which strap is nice? Mr Goh says the paros strap only comes in black but I'd like it to be blue......

thanks in advance!

A matching nato kinda fits the bill too.
