Ferragamo having sale. Started yesterday. Might be able to get a good buy there.
Orh, so bags got adhoc/seasonal sales ah...unlike watches (to bring some relavance to the topic.)

no wonder the q damn long yesterday at ferragamo..

Question: My gf approves of my OS Retrograde's looks but of its price, barely.. She doesn't even know about my OS Vintage Skeleton which I paid 3x as much for yet. So I hardly get a chance to wear it now that my exams are over (we work together). Don't really like the feeling of having to hide it also.
Should I just keep it or just try to sell then forget about it?
What would you do?

Seen quite a bit of discussion on this matter, haven't got a chance to really reply. To give my 2 cents worth- you don't need to really obtain permission/approval to spend your own money (esp when you are not married..married then you guys kinda share resources so I think should discuss)
BUT DON'T LIE...the can of worms will just open up one day and you will have a lot of work to do to clean the mess. At most she can do is to nag at you if she don't approve on the purchase but that's about it, you did nothing wrong..but once you lie..even you spend $1 on the watch its your fault. And once she finds out she will have trust issues with you (ultimate no no!) And you're pretty much screwed because its no biggie since you can lie to her why cant she do the same?
Plus if you lie, you will always feel uncomfortable wearing the watch. Don't think its a nice feeling esp when its a beautiful piece and you like it a lot.
I think you need to make her understand your love for watches (if its not gonna be shortlived) because theres always a more expensive watch to buy. Can't possibly lie for every watch purchase moving forward + can't even wear it openly with her. You will feel miserable.
I think your best course of action - tell her you got it because you really love it .better still if you can make her understand why some pieces are that expensive. In the future bring up your target watches in casual conversations ...ask her for opinions etc and manage her expectations from there before pulling the trigger.
