you guys can help me do something ?

Cos base on my understanding, only those with lack of metal element will love metal stuff.

I guess most here lack of metal element cos watch = metal element.

Can you guys click on this link to test out, whether you lack of metal element ?

Let see whether how accurate it can go....if metal number very low means lack of metal.

Finally had the time to have my bambino modified.

The modification was inspired by what Yeoman had done with his below.

It caught my eye as it reminded me of the Longines Conquest Heritage which I liked but wasn't going to drop the money for.

Initially I was intending to follow exactly with a mixup between both generations of bambino. In the end however, I decided to go with both generation 1s as I preferred the signed crown present in the first. I felt the signed crown brought the watch to another higher level giving it a more exquisite look.

Order the rose gold from CW and gotten the stainless steel from Wins.

After the mod it became below.

The left one with a stainless steel case and rose gold markers is what I am going for. The one on the right is the by-product.

With this mod I get both the versatility of the stainless steel case and the increased elegance of the rose gold hands and markers. Now all I need to is replace the leather strap with something softer.

The 21mm lugs doesn't make strap hunting easy but I reckon with a bit of squeezing a 22mm strap will do as well. This watch definitely screams for a leather strap. NATO or bracelet wouldn't look as nice.

A shot of the movement with barely any finishing. Can't expect much for a $200 watch.

Another shot of the bambino before it was modded.

The applied markers and logo gives it a very luxurious feel and makes it look more expensive than it is. The dial has a pearlescent effect and under sunlight it sparkles. Both the dial and hands are curved.

And of course the biggest asset of the bambino is its domed mineral crystal. However this also means if you are not careful you may leave a scratch or mark on it, and the possibility of that happening is amplified by the high dome.

Overall the bambino is a great value for money watch. I can see it suitable as a starter watch for work, for couples or if you are just starting out on mechanical watches. The relatively plain case back makes it viable to do engravings.

Another shot of the two watches that will be dominating my wrist in the near future. Two very different feels. Both are incredible in their own right.

A parting shot.[/QUOTE]

Great mod! Please share with us what kind of tools needed to do the mod? Lovely sub no date, care to share the damage? Cheers! :)

It's the quartz Golgo edition. The finishing is nice, however I've read reviews that the black coating is not long lasting. Pity that.
