Guys, I leaving soon on a two weeks biz trip that will take me to timezones GMT-10, GMT + 11, GMT+12 and GMT +13. This will be my OS GMT's first trip to different timezones:

As I'm staying just a couple of nights or so at each timezone, it makes sense to keep the hands pointed at home time and the internal GMT dial adjusted to local time, right?
I think if its the way round, I will have to adjust the hands and the GMT dial each time. More work.
Agree?

Hour hand point to home. GMT hand point to local. That's how I do it.

Was at cortina while waiting for the missus.

Montblanc perpetual calendar steel around 18k, RG ard 30k. Boutique will get them next month and ADs will get ard sept. May not have discounts. BUT it's 39mm. We tried a few 39mm and agreed its too small on me.

Then he showed me the catalogues and i noticed a lot look like JLC - he told me one JLC fellow went over, dunno boss or what.

Thought you'd rest a while after the Pam but seems you are already set on the next, surfing the IWC, Zenith and now Mont Blanc. I grow from one purchase to another....why don't you let some 'growth' before next purchase to avoid possible regrets ....unless before the Pam you already wanted 2 or more designs la. Heh

Since you are on a roll let me itchy backside suggest. Why don't you get a rectangular watch. One of the bigger JLC reversos or the IWC Davinci. Or get a Glashutte Original they make bigger dress watches. Combine your liking for beefy Pam with dressy PP.

To me the effort is secondary. If my priority is ease of knowing sg time then i will leave hour hand untouched. If priority is local time, i will adjust hour hand to local time.

With smart phones, u typically get local time when u have auto roam, if that's of consideration.

hour hand point to SG timing (GMT+8) then the red hand point to the timing of that country
Personally, I like the opposite.

When I look at the watch, mostly it's to check the time locally, and it's faster to process that mentally with the regular 12-hour reading. So at the end of the day, I save more time reading time.

well... not too sure if its true but i have a feeling that yatto dai kor is more than capable to hoot an ALS complication... but probably due to certain financial commitments or restrictions, he is getting his watch-retail-theraphy elsewhere by getting similar watch types...

so i doubt right now... even if he DOES hoot Zenith, IWC, JLC, GO...it will be sufficient to cure Yatto dai gor's itch...

my 0.00000002 cents :D
