there used to be a vintage watch shop in Sunshine Plaza in Bencoolen, I have seen a small shop in Burlington selling vintage. JW has odd pieces now and then, Passions in funan has a few pieces but they are pricey and the staff are snobbish old farts. finally there is a shop in Lucky Plaza specializing in vintage. it is in the corner with the staircase leading to Tangs. otherwise hunting down vintage watches in sg is tedious but that is part of the fun.

which era/model are you looking at?

in fact the very popular bambino on this thread is inspired from watch designs from the 60s/70s:

for watches pre-1980s, it is best to stick to hand-wind. accuracy of vintage autos can be quite poor - gaining/losing minutes in a weekend. :(

also very important is water resistance - it simply does not exist! :s22: so be very careful when washing your hands or in heavy rain.

vintage watches of certain brands can offer good value for money. IWC and Rolex vintages tend to be most expensive, Omega and Longines are more reasonably priced.

Going to jump in the bambino bandwagon.. But tell me this.. Would it sit snugly on a 5.75 inch wrist? I have tiny wrist but I like to wear my watches tight...

I believe you will have to try out the fit and size. I am having 6.5" wrist and the lug to lug fits just nice.

I'll have to agree with you. The people at passions are really obnoxious.
