I'm headed to Tokyo next week and will probably have one day at the end of the trip to look around. Any advice as to wear I can go to look for watches, in particular watches that are unique to Japan?

JDM (Japan domestic model) seikos, citizens and g-shocks. you can make a living just selling these outside of japan (if you can get enough stocks).

I think why he worry, he is not scare to be judge.

He scare his managing director and marketing director think that he try to override them.

Saw these in the seiko boutique in JEM. Pricey though. Cant see myself paying so much for seikos. Nothing to do with quality but just a perception issue. Rolex level pricing. But of course there are GS lovers aplenty.

What we wear project what we will be seen by others.

Example, you become rich while your peers still not yet. You wear extreme expensive watch to go out with them or drive expensive car. You tend to get jealousy.
