No mood for the panerai now.

My dad just got diagnosed for shingles. Now worried abt our kids at home cos he looks after them everyday.

Taking one week childcare leave to look after them as we also just had a new domestic helper.

Sh*t happens.

Our family trip to japan is in one weeks' time. Hope the kids do not catch chicken pox from this, really.

In fact I had chicken pox so bad I was hospitalized.

Truth is I had planned to go to JW today; also have the cash ready.

Thanks for all your well-wishes. I'm a paranoid dad so it means I cant sleep nor eat well for the rest of the week for sure.

Oh man... sorry to hear that yatto-san! Wish your dad speedy recovery and hope the kids are alright!

Good move to take the week off, but do take care of yourself too!

Something exotic came in the mail today!

An amazing customised elephant hide strap (CITES certification, of course) with a huge handmade buckle! :s12:

Some more photos are found here: New Pam Owner! - Page 29

Someone commented that I may have accidentally been sent a spade instead of a buckle... Hahaha! :s13:

Now the only problem I have is to get back my hole puncher from my friend, so that I can get my buckling hole punched and wear the strap.

Still waiting impatiently for a few more straps to come in...

@Yatto: Wishing your father a speedy recovery and quick come join the Pam club, Mr Anti-Paneristi. =:p You can see the huge choices of straps at your fingertips!
Wow elephant calf? How much man?

Not elephant calf, but genuine elephant hide. As I wanted a 4.5mm thick strap, the strapmaker has to add natural leather to the thin elephant hide to "beef" it up.

Regular price:
1. Elephant strap: USD149
2. Handmade buckle: USD109
3. Shipping: USD20
Total: Very expensive! Hahaha!

Hope my wife doesn't see the pricing for "oh... it's just a strap lah, honey!" :)

I have the type IIa, which is 22mm tapering to 20mm at the sports clasp. Type IIc is identical apart from the tapering from 22mm to 18mm. Hope this helps!

Oh yea thanks for the information! Did u bought it off from wjean on ebay? Don't dare to buy now following the recent news of ebay :(

Yea I bought it via ebay. Don't think it's much of an issue, as long as you've changed your password already. :s8:

Any reviews?

Alot of unnecessary features, but battery life is great. It can last for days without charging. The notifications app come in handy esp when I dump my phone somewhere away from sight, keeping me in the know of whats happening. Undoubtedly, the RG edition is the chio-est of all Galaxy Gears.

On a side note, gear 2 is out!!

U r aware this beautiful mod is going to be expensive right?

final cost likely nearly double that of the base SKX wif domed sapphire, replacement dial, hands set, chapter ring and bezel insert..

Then again a visit to yobokies is always painful to the wallet.. hahaha..

The dial is about 35 and the hands are around 20-30usd.
Bezel is around 25usd. All the mods add up will be 120sgd or so alr :s22: Almost enough to buy a new seiko
Waiting for Dagaz to reopen his webstore again to look at his parts. Coincidentally Yobokies was also on holiday also and probably won't reply to emails.
