LOL I concur, as much as the poison that exist in the phone threads, they are nowhere close to this thread. The poison is strong in this one! Hehe another 2254.5 owner has spoken! Yup well said, maybe I shouldn't be that bothered by the resale value afterall. As EDMW always say, hoot first think later! So you would still recommend getting the 2254.5 after having it for awhile? Thanks thanks, really appreciate your advise man!

I don't own 2254. I was torn between 2254 and 2220.80 but decided to go with 2220.80 mainly because of the co-axial escapement and partially the blue colour. No doubt I will choose 2254 if it comes with the co-axial escapement.

2254 is a solid piece for sure but if your money allows it, I would recommend the submariner over it anytime. Though I really like the direction omega is heading, Rolex just have better brand recognition than omega.

While most of us are probably desktop divers, nonetheless dive watch on leather aren't an intended combination for diving (yes i know, neither is a full SS sub for the office). A waterproof material eg canvas nato would be more "correct" to go with a dive watch.

But end of the day for a desktop diver, i guess anything goes.
