A qn for all those experienced watch collectors..

Which brands do u think has the best service at their service centers ? Any stories to share?

Did a search online, apparently swatch has so many complaints :s13: .. Ball on the other hand has quite a number of praises :)

I had their DLC aviator. Grazed mine against a table and it chipped off. It wasn't a hard knock. Read good things about their DLC but my experience proved otherwise. Mine could be a lemon so it's up to you if you like it that much to risk it.

Erm... Looking at empty pool?

Is that toa payoh safra?

those with tudors or pelagos with 2824 mvt, do they keep time well? mine is currently +10 a day sia...

Hmm surprising my BB is around +1.5s per day mix of wearing and in watch winder..so i guess 2824 movement can be regulated/adjusted to have excellent accuracy out of box.

Side note, the SW200 in my Oris, also a very basic auto movement and a virtual clone of the 2824, is also at around +1.7s per day after regulation at service centre...

Guess you don't need an expensive movement from a expensive brand to get good accuracy.

I think you can enquire at any THG outlet and collect from there. They don't have any ready stock at the boutique. I collected mine from the Paragon outlet.

bro, where you get the strap and clasp from?
how much ah? if you don't mind :D

Haha, yes I'm aware of that. Still, having lived in other countries for substantial amounts of time, the grass is not greener on the other side. At least for me.

My eldest is working at her first job in San Francisco. Pays her US$100k a year. She doesn't even get to smell almost half of it.

What can S$80 buy a year in the US? Certainly not a membership to a clubhouse with pretty much top quality facilities.

And no, I voted opposition during the last election.

$100k a year is USD$8.4k a month eh, I don't mind getting half of that for my first job :D

Possible to disclose which sector she working in? General is fine, don't need to go into specifics.

was reading up on my FC slimline moonphase watch online when i chanced upon this.

Slimline Tourbillon Manufacture FC-980 Poisonous..

Btw, FC is a young brand with only 10 years of heritage. Pretty impressive.
