Just curious. Between this Tudor Pelagos & Sinn T2, which would you guys go for?
Both are Titanium. Tudor has a modified ETA2824, Sinn with the Soprod A10.

My daughter's rental is US$3.5k. Studio Apartment within walking distance of her office.

It's all about how far away and how comfortable you want to live.

US$500k for a house in NY? No way it can be in NYC. At that price, it has to be > 1hour's drive away from the city. That's without traffic. With NYC traffic? Good luck.

Try looking for a house as big as say a 3-room HDB flat in NYC. No need so near. Say the same distance from changi airport to orchard road. Then tell me how much.

How do I know? My 2nd one just started work there. She lives in a rat hole and her rent is US$4k.

You can buy a house for less than US$100k there. The question is: would you want to live in that house?

i think boils down to taste

tudors are more retro inspired while sinn is more avant garde

got analog and digital in one.

200 is a pretty good range!!!

For digital, you can always go Casio or G-Shock range if you want something sturdy and sporty looking!

If you want analog, there are Seiko 5 that you can consider, if you do not want Seiko, do check out Orient Bambino. Search this or the old thread on "bambino" or "bam", tons of results for you!

If you want something relatively new, can check out sistem51 by Swatch. I believe you do need to stretch a little bit over 200!

1) Do ask us if you have anymore doubts and clarification
2) If you buy the watch, must GPGT
3) After you buy the watch, best leave this thread unless you are resisted to poison

Putting the both watches movement aside. I am not a pro.

I use Sinn U1 as a daily beater. Went to THG to try out T2 (with rubber strap). Some much lighter and smaller than U1. But, it cost more than than U1 for sure. I don't know it is because I am used to the weight, the simplicity / bold look of U1 that affected my judgement on T2?? I find the shape of T2 "unpolish".

I do want own a Pelagos instead. Having tired on my colleague Pelagos. I felt that Pelagos look elegance on my wrist despite of the simple face dial design. T2 looks sporty.

As for the lume on both watches, Pelagos wins big time. Though T2 has two color lume, it doesn't glow as bright as Pelagos. And don't forget, the bezel of the Pelagos glow too.

Nah, I don't think most people expect a house for less than US $100k, I think $500k is an average price, which could get me the place I linked and idk, I think that would be enough for me. No need 3 room HDB size, I would live alone anyway

But thanks for sharing your daughters' experiences though, didn't know rental could go up to so high there because my relatives who stay there have their own places so they never mention rent or the likes. Time to be glad for $2k 3 room HDB rentals in SG lol

Thanks for the opinion. I too find the Pelagos much nicer. Just can't get pass the different style looking lugs on the T2.

3777-01, is gator strap, retails at about $6.4k from AD with discount. Depending on condition, it should be about 5k+? You may want to check some of the pre-own shops' prices.

Rental in NYC is very expensive... but west coast is very affordable.

NYC is just like CBD singapore.

renting one bedroom apartment at International Plaza @ Tanjong Pagar can go as high as SGD$4K a month

tudor tudor number 1.

on a more serious note. long time advocate of pelagos so take my view with a pinch of salt.

pelagos has the cleaner design imo. very angular.

pelagos has the better lume.

pelagos has a better dial. applied indices vs printed.

pelagos has the better hands.

pelagos has the better bezel imo.

pelagos has the better bracelet.

end of the day is what you looking for since watch is really about looks and this is very subjective.
