Swee that's one of the most bang for buck moonphase around? It's a true moonphase complication right? And the 24hr hand can be set to a second time zone?

yes true moonphase and can get good discounts from Prestige in Bras Baseh.
The bottom sub dial is a 2nd time zone.

It shows stars because the next full moon is around 9 Dec. It shows stars not because its 3am in the morning.

Some watches are mistaken for moonphase but in reality they are for day n night indicator ie show moon at night and sun in the day.

The original Mark II

unlike the reissue the original was a mix of orange and red

signed crown (worse for wear)

simple engraving of the omega monster

better light shows off the detailed reliefs for the sub-dial

Very nice..thought of getting the new Helson Black Beard..but the price is scary 745USD for a micro with japanese movement...just doesn't seem worth it leh?

On the contrary I think the microbrands provide very good value for money. Automatic movement, close to though not the quality of a Tag/Omega, exclusivity like what a1234567 (can't remember )said.

erm that's not a simple question.

.... as in own whole movement or just a part (e.g. escapement)...there's also quartz...so it depends on which model you are referring to, and if you consider licensing and improving a design good enough as in-house.

note that sharing of movements is not frowned upon in the watch industry .....you got rolex with zenith movements, as you have omega with eta/lemania/valjoux...

also seiko and citizen and casio are fully using in-house movements

Ah which pam are you donning now? Got totally suck in with the world of aftermarket leather straps when i got my 359, it was fun. My next purchase would be to trade in my 359 and hopefully get a 372. A 47mm pam is really eye catching especially with the all polished ss. My only gripe with owning a pam is the crown guard which is also one of the key feature. I have bashed it a few times, hotel lobby door, my house door, shopping mall door but gotta give it props to the construction, it remained steadfast and secured albeit a few dings.
