Arrillo on a clean dial pam is really nice. My friend's rolex sub is also using one. Find it interesting, leather strap on a rolex.

The ceramic bezel and the new clasp makes it damn worth the trade. I think 10k can get the newer subC no problem. Or maybe squeeze abit more for the 116610LV?

I've never owned the gold models before (yet) but what I appreciate about Rolex is the QC is very tight in this aspect - they use their own steel in-house and also own a foundry to make their gold. Read somewhere that their Everose gold doesn't fade

Read a statement from Rolex saying that their Everose gold foundries are the only true ones in the world, and there isn't any like it. Only Rolex has true Everose gold.

Heard that the bracelet will lose its gold over the years. Only mixed with zinc so any form of liquid contact will degrade the colour.

Gold or Everose ? My dad's full gold rolex which he bought when he was my age is still as shiny as when it's new. A more realistic scenario is that the watch actually gets thinner as it looses its gold from the polishing buffers, but even that, my dad confirms its not true cause his watch never looses any weight in mg.

I don't quite like Rolex as I feel the design more or less for the sport watches not much a difference.

No doubt it's one of the better watch in term of resale value but I will be looking at other brands like AP and Blancpain..................

Their gmt, submariners etc are very similar.. should go for the more iconic sports series like the daytona, yachtmaster II and the skydweller.

im more of a diamond bezzel and pointer fan, quite disappointed that my skydweller no diamonds

Gold or Everose ? My dad's full gold rolex which he bought when he was my age is still as shiny as when it's new. A more realistic scenario is that the watch actually gets thinner as it looses its gold from the polishing buffers, but even that, my dad confirms its not true cause his watch never looses any weight in mg.

No such problem from Rolexes. Not that I've encountered it before. But have encountered the gold link of the half gold falling off. But RSC very kindly replaced it FOC. SO far been more than pleased with their service

My Rolex TT Datejust (about 25 years) is still gold looking. Only services once in 25 years and it still keeps great timing.
