Different people have different tolerance to scratches. I'm one who doesn't bother too much. It's a watch, not my life.

I've told this story many times here. My nautilus got scratched when I was shielding my son's head from an awkward sharp cornered wall at USS. Heartache? Not at all. Gonna be a story when I show him the scratch next time and retell the story.

Sharing an article from a watch mag.

good morning yatto dai kor...

just a thought after I closely examining your nautilus that day at the watch meet, and went back to relook at the photos taken...
I felt that PP didn't do a lot of justice on the finer details given the price tag, such as the moonphrase, the markers, the surface and texture of the dial face.

i hope that if PP is going to release a new version of the nautilus, they will focus more on these areas.

but I'm not sure if you felt this way too... :o

ok honestly, when I chose the PP over the Rolex GMT full gold and the breguet la tradition and a host of other watches....it was simply because it's a PP.

A PP is a PP is a PP. No special preference for the watch, really. it's not like i was wishing for this watch. I was lusting after the brand - already admitted to being a brand *****.

With steel bracelet it can go anywhere - casual, sporty even dressy. As I read up more on the watch then I understand whats so special about the dial: the way it reflects light to give different blue tones at different angles (dai dai kor iceflight and I were talking about it at the gtg; his is the gold/brown tone though).

the most gorgeous part is probably the movement at the back. it is so nice I wish it were the front.

and that's about it. like what u said the details are probably not worth the premium but well......buy already liao hahahahaha and it's growing on me.

wait......are u trying to talk it down so I will sell it at half price? :s13::s13::s13:

It's personal preference. Some people don't mind pre owned. Some prefer brand new.

for first watch why not get brand new 1... save abit more to 6k++ can get a BNIB explorer 1. Nothing beats wearing a brand new first serious luxury watch..;)

If still it is hard to stomach then look at Tudor watches too... they are afterall Rolex sister brand... build quality is there.. although dun expect they also using 904L stainless steel and rolex movements inside

Just back from panerai dinner.

The story is this - i bought the 305 just last month. I wear my watches on my right hand.

Just two weeks later at the exhibition they showcased the 569(left hand, hobnail version of the 305). Very very upset.

Had a good look at the 569 today - ah ha! No transparent caseback. That would not do for me. Made my day a bit better hahaha
