this was more than 10 years ago and "homages" wasn't a distinct category. the modern Panerai as we know it now was just recently relaunched, and curiously they were themselves paying homage to the original Panerai :)

in short the Japanese courts ruled against RockXWatch in Japan and this took momentum out of their business as an upcoming microbrand.

In retrospect, they were the martyrs as soon after came all kind of homages of the "marina militaires", including mushrooming of Panerai fakes from europe to asia, after the event got huge attention in the internet forums.

A pity though - RXW made well designed watches with superb quality. right up to today you will here Panerai fanboys callout out RXW as fakes/cheap knockoffs, but they have to contend with the likes of Parnis who are now considered a legal business.

Their MM20 cause the jap court to take them down. Their other collection Poseidon didn't violate any copyright laws.

That makes the MM20 really collectible i guess? Good story to it and something $ cannot buy u a new piece

Price of these MM20 pretty high no cheapo
1k watch.
They are often seen priced around usd$2k

same here but after trying im deciding to get one..only which colour...i feel its a breakthrough for a movement at the price...anyways if u really dun wan plastic...i did talk to some one in swatch the metal one is being designed but whether it comes or not no cfmation.
