btw AD discount for pam is 5%. Is that standard or anyone else encountered more?


Best is to buy in MBS...because can charge to membership card. The SA told me if i get PAM 8 days, i can get abt $270 rebate in card and I can use it in MBS. So will get rebate + credit card points.

I believe grey just means you get it from someone other than the AD or boutique. Hence, if you bought a new watch from a boutique and then sell it, you technically become a grey dealer.

I believe grey just means you get it from someone other than the AD or boutique. Hence, if you bought a new watch from a boutique and then sell it, you technically become a grey dealer.

i doubt anyone will do that. if buy from local AD or boutique will be considered pre-owned. Can't earn money unless its a very sought after model with limited number produced.

usually grey to me means bought overseas AD or boutique and earn thru the differences paid.
can be label as resellers also.

Well when AD cannot sell and wanna clear stock quick, watches are let go at a very small profit.
Locally if pammy not in big demand making profit is very likely
Grey dealer never buy from overseas at AD prices to flip that' just wouldn't justify the work-profit.

Grey dealer often times get things at a much reduced price. Brands want AD to carry so many watch to stay AD.

Yes grey are resellers but in this industry no one call them that.

I know of someone who bought a rolex sub grey in japan and the watch turned out to be from a singapore AD.

Still cannot quite fathom that like u said, rolex sub at sg AD ought to be in high demand, but what i shared is true..

I am looking to purchase a pair of watches which can be use as wedding gift, something that can hold sentiment value as it age. But the budget not very high, only around 6k for a pair.

Need not be exactly the same model, similar looking will do. Have to be automatic, prefer not too sporty kind, but chronograph is fine.

Have been looking at Longines models but was thinking what other options are there. Really new to luxury watch so hopefully can get more ideas on what is out there.
