don't get me wrong, i like the design of the watch very much. and i have one in the safe
but i think the marketing folks take it a bit far. especially this

moonphases dopn't sound relevant on a MOON watch . "earthphase" perhaps

the moon is fine... the stars... too cheesy...

the blue colour is way too bright against the black colour of the watch. maybe should have gone with a deeper tone, like chrome blue or dark metallic blue.

Well admittedly, I feel abit shitty wearing my Longines let alone my Seiko when my mate and his GF wears a Classic Fusion and TimeWalker..

Perhaps it's a sign of your youth but life is much more than the watches u or your friends wear. If u feel so inadequate then perhaps you shouldn't wait till nov to get the watch since u seem pretty focused on a few particular models already.

actually i'm fine with the design, colours and the stars.

its the moonphase feature that is useful only on earth.

if you are on the moon you won't be concerned with moonphase. so its kinda contradictory on a "moon watch".

not a fault of the watch design, but i think the omega marketing team push the "moon watch" thing a bit far.

Haha I thought that way also when getting my first Rollie....but in the end it's a important part of the collection and it's pure joy to bring it into the waters.

Yep. End of the day it's probably just the Pelagos or Seamaster I guess..unless things improve haha

Go swimming or diving with it....use it for what it is capable of. I know some formers here who have done so...yes it's a luxury timepiece but let's not forget its history and roots....it got its three star on the crown for a reason

IMO my friend, you're getting a watch for a totally wrong reason if it's because of peer pressure....you're missing out the fun of spending money and appreciating the watch for what for what it is....it's history, it's story, it's engineering, it's workmanship...instead your looking at what people will think and look of you after wearing one....in no way is this an insult....just some advice being relatively around the same age

I just want something not that far off.

Actually for daily beaters, go for either quartz or auto. Lesser maintenance IMO.

Especially quartz, lesser moving parts means even when u knock it hard, less likely to be spoilt.

Quartz is much cheaper also, GS quartz are only 3k or so.
