Just be patient. You don't need it now right? In fact, nobody actually needs a watch like immediately so time is on your side. Wait for restock. Suggest you to follow the Casio Facebook page in Sg.

SISTEM51 has an ETA logo on it. a marvel of engineering.

anyways, ironman g-shock was sold out over the weekend. thats why when i saw the post about a restock on casio's FB page on friday, i immediately went down to get one.

Guess time for u to get rid of watches that fail this req. lol

haha ... maybe..but it won't be so soon. i think swatch using this as a chinese movement killer, timed with ETA supply cutoff. but i think china will develop their own asap...if so

nonetheless, longer power reserve is the innovation the mechanical watch industry needs. will encourage more people to own more mechanicals with convenience.

then again distinctive pieces will always be cherished.

Just googled the system 51 watch above, was intrigued by the 90 hr power reserve. VERY impressive design I must say in terms of engineering and price, but ugly as #%^£€ to be honest.

Good read Swatch Sistem51 Under $200 Automatic Watch Now For Sale - Page 2 of 2 | aBlogtoWatch

real progress and innovation there - especially lower cost of production, ease of assembly and increased reliability - all coming from having less moving parts. accuracy-wise not sure yet but i guess casio and iphone beats rolex so nothing to say here.

my guess is that swiss will go high fashion and art to maintain prices....so all swiss watch prices will go up even more!

Anyone know nice watches within a budget of about $250-300? After reading through I found that most recommended orient, however the logo is a little ugly to me so I'm looking for alternative brands to look at! On a side note, does anyone know where I can get Larsson and Jennings watches?

this seagull watch could have been a decent watch since its on sale now, but somehow I read the reviews and decide not to get it

I like the citizen one! The other two don't really appeal much to me. So I guess watches similar in style to the citizen one would appeal to my liking. I prefer minimalistic designs and leather straps instead of the metal ones. Where did you get the citizen watch and for how much?
