Perlon straps are generally about the same length as Nato straps, around 270mm excluding buckle.

Can adjust to the exact length you want and hide all the excess strap on the back, instead of the ugly and bulky fold under look on a Nato.

i can assure you even if you buy a tudor, those poly young girls might not even care.
if you are thinking a watch to impress, poly is a wrong place to.
the best thing to impress people in poly is a car unfortunately.

Bonetto Cinturini, Isofrane, Hirsch

it seems like BC would mold into the wrist shape nicely after wearing for a long time? i don't own one, but looking forward to get those rubber deployant ones in the future.

BC is synthetic rubber i think, but it is just as good without silicone rubber's lint problems.
much cheaper than Hirsch and Isofrane, quite well regarded with WUS ppl who like VFM.


Isofrane doesn't mold to your wrist shape, wearing mine for 3 yrs already.
very thick yet pliable.

because it doesn't mold to your wrist shape, the strap always kind of exert a 'grip' or 'pinch' to the wrist from the sides when worn, coupled with the molded grip ridges underneath which makes it excel at holding heavy watch heads even when strapped down with a pinky's space.

as you know, your wrist expands n contracts throughout the day.
this property prevents your watch from flopping even when your wrist contracts unlike metal bracelets.

silicone straps which doesn't mold to wrist also exhibit this property since it doesn't mold to the wrist contours

i am using the RS buckle. the way the tang locks down doesn't stress the strap holes when worn and it would never work its way out.

many people have issues with the thin yet ultra sticky strap keepers.
they are sticky only when dry, dab some water beneath the keepers and the strap glides in with ease.



no exp with Hirsch either, they use 'natural rubber' for their straps.
seems decent.


regular fat springbars will stress the strap lugs a lot
rem get proper sized springbars with the right tip size.
if springbar tips too small to sit in the holes it can wriggle and wear out the lugs in the long term

perlon is nice, read that it doesnt soak water like nato/zulu.

hows does perlon fare with with those heavy diver watch heads?
i find zulu are stiffer and can hold top heavy watch heads better unlike natos where i really need to strap it tight.

isofrane is not 'natural rubber' either, but a form of rubber compound


moar to add lol

loads of marketing terms for rubbers alone and they may not even mean anything.

all these fancy names to smoke are common in the watch world because plenty of buyers have hardly any material or manufacturing knowledge.
lux watch buyers have the tendency to buy by the price tag, it has to be 'worthy' enough to be on the costly watch itself.

many rubber strap makers are banking in on the 'Italian rubber' name

and 'Vulcanized Rubber' as a marketing gimmick makes me lol
most synthetic, silicone or natural rubber have to be vulcanized (to varying degrees) in order to be hard and strong enough for any use
