Hahaha... I was broke 10 over years ago too when I had my wedding, honeymoon, house, renovation etc. You will get by it. Have fun!

Well since now is home renovations + furnishings + wedding all at the same time, broke now then slowly recover.

Ya. With all the diamond and gold. Lol. We are talking about real watch making and quality. As far as I know rolex don't have such complications.

Why people buy rolex is because it's a strong brand and it does marketing well.

The rich and famous will rather throw their small change on PP rather than rolex unless you're a rapper that needs the bling.

Then priorities should be gathering life's necessities.. If have to recover with all these commitments then stuffs like watches etc... It's not time yet ...

I'm in another stage of life and will consider myself financially blessed. my principle that these hobbies are things that should never affect your lifestyle but rather enhance it

especially today you have great value in brands like Seiko, Orient, Orient Star, Tissot...and the used watch market in Singapore offers a lot of variety at even better value.

buy a watch that fits your budget. its the most meaningful way to start a collection, and one you will be proud of over the long term.

good thing for you is the internet.

i had a few throw away fashion watches that I regret as they all stopped working. and a couple of non descript seiko quartz.

if i had to do it all over again today I'd start with a bambino ($200), sumo ($500) and work myself up. all within reach, and bound to be collector classics in the future. best of all watches that will be able to last for my kids to see.
