But honestly there's only one GS SD to get which is the snowflake, in white gold version. That's e only GS LE watch that I will ever get if I get another GS

is there a white gold version of the snowflake? i know there is one with gold markers and hands, was a bit tempted but decided to go with the normal one as the gold looks a bit "loud" for my taste

er guess i liked the design and the fact that it's supposed to a limited edition.
Was trying to get the watch for less than 6k, first time venturing into this price range.
Previously most expensive watch was Tissot Visodate for about 800 SGD.
Bargained for 100 minutes plus at the shop
Tried searching for this model online didnt get much reference prices in Singapore :/

i like this design too and it will become a classic. good chance of maintaining resale value if the classic sarb's are anything to go for. and its a limited edition.

not sure if there are grey dealers here in SG but if you factor in shipping+insurance+gst...you might not be far off from an online purchase.

not really...assuming a RRP of US$4,000 (and assuming no discount), which translate to S$5,200 (assuming 1.3 conversion rate), shipping of S$100, total is S$5,300

GST of 7% on that makes the total S$5,671

of course the only hassle is you don't get to see the watch in the flesh until you actually receive it, and if there are any flaws etc you spend time sending it back and waiting for another piece...

Something to do with the fact that this 5513 is (literally) my grandfather's watch

difference might be higher/lower, depending on whether the retailer gives discount and actual shipping cost...best if got kaki to bring back for you (save shipping and GST!!)

VAT in spain is 21%. effective refund probably around 13% of the price that you pay.

e.g. original sale price is $100 - total price with VAT is $121

if you get all the VAT back, the "discount" is actually 17.4%. 100/121 = 82.6%

however there is usually a processing fee for the VAT refund so the effective is around 13% of purchase price.

you can try to negotiate for a discount on the purchase price, but for base models which are popular it is difficult. maybe 5% discount?

Yeah looks like paid a little premium for a peace of mind of seeing the watch first hand in flesh before buying it
