Hi guys!

I've been reading several watch forums for some time now and I've finally decided to start my very first post. My interest in watches started a few years back, and it has been continuously growing ever since. I must admit that I'm still pretty much a greenhorn as compared to you veterans out there. There's still so much for me to learn, but I guess this is what makes things interesting/exciting. I hope to make some friends out there who share the same passion, though i know we may be of a different level (in terms of watches), I am sincere about it. Thanks!:)

For starters, I hope this photo isn't too shabby...

For that price range, the Rolex sub shouldn't be the regular type.
It should be either two-tone gold (Gold+Stainless Steel+Black Dial) or the Green colour Sub (A.k.a Hulk)

Anyway, the pricing for Rolex is more or less fixed with all their AD around the world.

Oh ok, the staff told me it's USD 9.1 before tax, not the Hulk or gold+steel

Thanks for your reply

USD9.1 before tax..... only 116610LN comes to mind. Ceramic with Steel. but it doesn't make sense at all... unless like AllinaDay says, yours is a non-local source, then this watch thread might not be able to help you much and give you accurate information about buying rolex in US.

then again, Nakedtoes is right that for USD9.1K, you can buy the Regular Sub Ceramic with Steel in Singapore for around USD7K-8K
The savings of USD1K, you can use to buy some nice match leather straps, Nato straps

you can use the above website for reference

unless Rolex just up their prices again?! >.<

Don't think US is the best place to get luxury watches, certainly not rolexes. Patryn might be able to advise if I'm right.

You probably can get a better deal for rolex in Singapore. For overseas AD, HK will be a good choice. If the PRCs are shunning HK due to recent events, you have a even better chance to pick out your targets. Good luck!

There are a lot of factors that contribute to your query.

he of course, wants to get your sale

discounts differ for different individuals, how much leverage you have depends how much business you give to any particular SA.

I opted for steel as I think Blue looks better on that bracelet (this is very personal though). Having said that I would recommend to get steel too because unless you are absolutely sure you would prefer third party straps or the ones provided - buying an original steel bracelet in future will cost you more than the savings you quoted above.

Good luck!
