Hi everyone, just wanted to check, from your personal experience, is Invicta a reliable brand? Im thinking of getting one of their gold tone watches. But I note there is no service center here to manually adjust the watch strap for you.

Are there any specialised watch service center here that can do it for a small fee?

Invicta not a real swiss brand, they are headquartered in USA. Their after sales/warranty is non existent and in the US, you need to pay them a token fee to take your watch back for repair/servicing even if under warranty. QC is also random chance, you need to pray to the god of watches when you buy one and hope for the best. Their retail price is ridiculously high, so buy only if you get like 80% discount or more. I had been to the invicta counter at Vivo long time ago (not sure if they are still surviving there), waaaayyyy over-priced for what you get.

That being said, some of their stuff, the more tame designs are actually decent, e.g. their submariner homages, some of their submariner inspired divers etc and they are also one of the few brands to use the NE88 automatic chronograph movements...

Just make sure you know what you are buying...

that looks like a a rare "tobacco dial" pam, if its not the camera flash distorting the colour.

Indeed it is. The 351 with tobacco dial, gold hands, and titanium case.

My phone camera is not very good. Hard to capture actual colours.

Yup, orignal bracelet, in mint condition too, thats why cant resist getting it.
however, the dial is a service dial for baby ploprof, not the same as original.

love that "earthy" and vintage colour combo ! one of the more interesting colour in the range of Pam colours, and hard to capture without a neutral background for any camera.

they've tried to replicate that "earthy"/vintage look in their recent ceramic watches too, seems to be a colour scheme that Pam has kept quite limited so far.

What are the few cheapest in house movement dive watch out there? Got aws liao. Gonna hoot a watch.

wah so envious....diver with in house movement? many many, don't know what your defination of cheap is though? I mean any Seiko diver or Citizen diver or Orient diver will rock a fully in house movement, and those can be had from anywhere starting from $200 to $10,000.

So without knowing anything else the usual suspects (presuming you prefer swiss/german):
1. Omega Planet Ocean (8500 calibre)
2. Rolex Submariner
3. Blancpain Fifty Fathoms
4. JLC Master Compressor Diver
5. AP Royal Oak Offshore Diver
6. Pam 389 (or other submersible with in house)
7. Patek Philippe Natutilus/Aquanaut (not sure if they qualify as divers really)
8. Nomos Ahoi

Yeah, the dial is hard to tell without proper lighting. The dial/hands combi gives it a more "unique" feel compared to the other variations. And I like the more subtle shade of the ti case as well.
