Didn't know Douche Master was from Sg! Caught my eye for a sec in the shop.

Would've gotten a Zelos if I was into divers but I'm not... Yet.

It is part of their job to serve customers, regardless u eventually buy or not. From my experience, the ADs are generally polite but not proactive. They would answer to what's asked but not engage u more unless they sussed u out as a big fish (eg yatto) or u look like u definitely want to get out of the shop with a purchase. So it's important u dont feel shy n ask what u want to ask n try all that u want (since u already decided to make the trip down and step in the shop).

Do note of course that the level of attention received would be dependent on the level of customer traffic. I would avoid where i see a shop crowded with tourists.. Not likely to get much attention as tourists from certain countries belong to the category i mentioned earlier.

that said, I kena poor service from the AD at RWS before. Ended up I never buy and got something else instead. apparently their reputation quite bad.

If I lived by "hoot first talk later" I would've to stroke a lot of other people's.
And I don't want that, even if I can get to see that beautiful, humongous bulge of bronze while stroking.


Besides, we don't want the patina to build up so fast.

Doesn't JLC have a watch that uses this movement themselves?
Tag Heuer was slated recently for licensing Seiko movement and calling it their own, interesting to see how AP and VC can evade such attention.

Maybe a good example of how minds can be prejudiced, after all its the "holy" trinity...to utter anything against would be heresy....

Has anyone shopped there before? Is it like outlet price too?

i know that one......the brand manager antonio and another ang mo Jeremy kept pushing to me at the AP event few weeks back but I don't like the rotor cos it's not the gold one. and the face i also dont quite like.

honestly there isn't really a face for ROO that I like until now.....

Hi guys,

Recently dug out one of my first seikos from my drawer - first serious watch and a gift from my mom.

Thought of using a nato strap for this but I realized it is not using the typical seiko springbar that I am used to.

The old bracelet is heavily scratched and tarnished and i am unable to slot in the Natos I have. I also lost 1-2 washers from my dismantling process of the old bracelet.

Any suggestions? Buy new bracelet from thongsia?

Asking fellow AD shoppers,

Is there truly such a thing as "watch boutique etiquette"?

I have a plan to buy a watch soon (probably the birthday month or around that period). Is it okay if I for now head down to a boutique or AD to try the watches that I am interested in or shortlisted, then come back weeks later to make the final decision?

Would such behaviour be thought of as time-wasting the first time round?

I do not like impulse purchases, and believe if said watch I fancy truly speaks to me, I will still think about it days or a week later. That way, it really will be the one to keep.

Watch Boutique etiquette???

AP used to own JLC, back in those days I think a lot Of technology was shared. This is not a new movement. In any case I think the parts are produced independently because the movement sizes are different.

I think the flak that Tag caught was mostly due to the snob effect of using a Jap movement.

was at The Mall last week but did not go into Tag, theres a Chopard, but mostly LUC series, price is pretty good, I saw Montblanc as well, but was spending my time at other stores...
