Seems like those who like the DSSD like Pams. The tapered bracelet was the reason my wife strongly dissuade me from getting. But DSSD getting more common. Think I saw 2 over the last week.
Your wife has an eye for detail hehe. So far only saw one fellow dssd with the new blue gradient dial. Still mostly subs and gmts.

do i need to get an expensive watch tool set or any will do?

thinking get this: Qoo10 - 16pc Watch Tool Set

pros with experience in changing straps often pls kindly advise :)

Hey, this looks good. Was thinking about picking up some tools. Cheap, too. So I second the call for advice on whether this looks legit useful...

Disclaimer: I am not pro

However I have bought a few different tools and such tool sets before - best quality springbar tool is still the one I paid "good money" for from watchwerkz - i think it was $15. The ones that came with the cheap sets - YMMV.

Some pro shared about Khatena & Sons before - I think bergeon quality is well known and for a watch that is $3k or even more ($10k, $20k...), why skimp on the tool?

Muchos gracias. I was looking through the sgroc accessories threads but didn't see any recent posts on bergeons being sold. I totally forgot there was a brick & mortar retailer in SG. Shall make a pit stop when I get back home. Thanks coern!

Bergeron vs free ones, can't say how the qoo10 set will be since never bought that set before

I did propose on getting her an automatic watch since she doesn't have one but insists that no need to buy.

Well dude... my wife also say something similar: "If you dare to buy a Rolex for me... I will go back to the Rolex shop, give back the watch and get a refund."

But now.... she fancy a Raymond Weill Full diamond ladies automatic date watch SS. And also an Omega Constellation diamond.

You can get her a very lady-like watch and say its to commemorate your wedding, which I am sure she will treasure for Life and wear it almost everywhere she goes.
Fast forward 30yrs later, this watch can become a heirloom for your daughter.

Or

A bag she LOVES alot but can never bear to spend that money herself...

Hi any bros here have lo bang for my friend? He is Looking to get PAM312 but it's about 3 months waiting list in Indonesia.

He really wants it before Christmas, was hoping if any bros here can contact their SAs for availability check.

If stock is ready, he'll fly over. If need to deposit I can make a bank transfer.

Thanks :D

Ps: I've emailed ion Panerai boutique and the general email of THG but no reply yet since yesterday.

Wow.. Didn't know that 312 is still in such demand despite being launched a long time ago!

Hmmm... Tag Heuer repositioning itself!

TAG Heuer Interim CEO Jean-Claude Biver Confirms TAG's New Pricing & Brand Strategies | aBlogtoWatch

'Ariel Adams: You've just taken the role as interim CEO of TAG Heuer, based on your larger position heading strategy for watches at LVMH. Did you anticipate the former CEO Stephane Linder's departure? What do you intend on doing during your time as CEO?

Jean-Claude Biver: I have already contributed to reorganizing a few brands such as Blancpain, Omega, and lately, Hublot. Each time, I try first to learn, listen from the management before making any decisions. I also try always to help the management and to make any effort in order to maintain as much as possible the existing management. I have done exactly the same this time, and therefore, did not anticipate any departure of anybody. Now that I have taken the position as interim CEO, I will pursue the implementation of the new policy, which is to concentrate all our efforts on our strong and historical price segment, which is the segment between $1,500 to $5,000.'

'Ariel Adams: TAG Heuer has traditionally been considered an excellent entry-level and mid-tier luxury watch brand – with, of course, a heavy emphasis on a sporting lifestyle. What will you do in the coming months to further strengthen and reinforce this position for the brand?

Jean-Claude Biver: We will follow and pursue this politic and positioning of the brand. We will try to attract even more than before the young generation and young customers. Also, thanks not only to avant garde and attractive products, but also together with new ambassadors coming not only from the sports world, but also from lifestyle or the music world.'

Seems like we can expect less special editions and technological breakthroughs from TH. Perhaps more sports endorsements like Cristiano Ronaldo as well.

I guess swatch group will leave the $5,000 to $8,000 segment to Zenith and $8,000 and above to Hublot.

Which is kinda pity since the only watches from Tag that catches my eye are from the Heuer Monaco Series.

I don't recall any of my friends or relatives that got TAG watches theses few years, their sales must be very poor.

someone somewhere sometime before said that the 8 days is within a certain accuracy, so the last two days of the reserve, time-keeping may suck

its the same with any hairspring driven movement - across the range of power reserve capacity, the accuracy will vary. but agree the longer the power reserve the higher greater that impact will be felt.

my experience is that i've always used my 233 to exhaustion and its definitely accurate to the minute up to 8th/9th day before a rewind. but i've also seen a few comments otherwise.

i hope they do more with the "Heuer" part of the business, keeping it historical and bringing in more models from the past.
