US no tax refund ah? For watch only or all luxury goods like other branded?

I got 15% discount from AD + 15.7% tax refund at airport + 5% cashback for my explorer 2. The total is like abt $7.5K. This, I am talking about Europe..

15% discount from AD? Can share which Europe AD?

I visualise a gs style engraved crown is gonna look super good. The pin holes are god send. I scratched the inside of a sarg 009 changing straps. Where did you bought it from?

A GS style engraved crown :s12:

I got it through a friend staying in Japan who got it from a brick and mortar shop in Tokyo. I think the usual guys like Seiya, Chino would have this too, but I could not wait :o

Tempt you further

US cannot get tax refund even for tourist.

Different states have got different tax too.

Normally as a rule of thumb.

European goods are expensive in US, compared to Asia (HK/SG).

US goods and electronics are cheap in US.

Electronics is overpriced in Europe.

Problem is the US state and federal system. It's like in Singapore if individual town councils can impose a town council sales tax.

Europe's VAT is a national sales tax, so easy to arrange for tax back as an incentive for tourists to spend more. Same as Singapore's GST tax refund scheme.

Wow, nice watch! I am a bit confused about the bezel though, is it outer or inner bezel? Because I notice there are 2 crowns and the bezel outside is quite prominent
there are 2. Both are count down bezel iirc.

You can try and take a look at Seiko 5 series or Orients if you're looking for automatics.

Seiko 5 at that price range usually use M'sian movements, but still are pretty reliable.

Orients are all in-house Japanese movements. Check out the Orient Defender, Mako and Ray.

I can't post pictures yet, but I'm sure google will help greatly.

(Additional shameless plug, i'm selling of a Seiko and an Orient that I've bought on impulse. :s13:)

Looks really good bro, I will consider it. I am really fussy, I like complexities a lot.

Show you this one - http ://redarmywatches.com/brands/poljot-international/poljot-international-nicolai-ii.html

(Pls remove space for link to work, I cant post links yet haha)

Is that a good buy at all? Really tempted.

Really love the design and dome sapphire although is Chinese movement. I can get it for around $500 SGD, I'm actually looking around some more and holding my purchase since I have a bigger budget.
