what kind of watches are you considering? Sports? Diver? Dress? Unique?

Im looking for a watch that can be wore on weekdays for work as well as weekend dress down. Would like something in steel or rubber strap. 2K can get a Tag Heuer?

You can try and take a look at Seiko 5 series or Orients if you're looking for automatics.

Seiko 5 at that price range usually use M'sian movements, but still are pretty reliable.

Orients are all in-house Japanese movements. Check out the Orient Defender, Mako and Ray.

I can't post pictures yet, but I'm sure google will help greatly.

(Additional shameless plug, i'm selling of a Seiko and an Orient that I've bought on impulse. :s13:)
i think i will just get a watch that looks nice :s13:

What is "nice" to you? Looking for Diver, Dress or Sports?
Check out post #1334 in this thread for a very sweet automatic orient, sapphire dome. I am planning to get that to complement a skeleton watch.

You have a lot of choices from seiko, hamilton, tissot, steinhart, stowa to name a few. Best if you go and try and see which one you like best.

What kind of look are you going for?

I know for a fact that I absolutely hate divers while all my friends love them.

Nice is pretty subjective. :)
