Hey guys, is it normal for COSC watch to lose 28 secs over 6 days? I have been wearing it daily in office work environment (Lets say +/- 12 hours per day). Should I get it looked into or is it acceptable? Thanks!

Answer to that is a No, Not Acceptable especially for new watches.

Assuming your time-tracking method is correct, COSC specs mean that the watch should not gain or lose more than -4 to +6 seconds PER DAY on average.

Rolex and Omega take this regulation further with Rolex's SUPERLATIVE chronometer, meaning the band has been further tightened to -1 to +4 seconds PER DAY.

Hence, I suggest that if yours is a Rolex or Omega, send it in for servicing soon.

if ur watch is losing time, try to place your watch with dial facing upwards or dial facing downwards as gravitational force at its lowest for the movement. try different position and see. it will take a few days for it to catch up with time.

additionally, if ur watch is running too fast, place the watch side ways i.e crown up, crown down, crown at either sides.

this method works with all my mechanical watches.

if the above still doesnt work, let the watch run in for at least a month before sending in for regulation

Kids were ill. Then fever subsided. Then started again. Daughter febrile fits - hospitalized for observation and then discharged with no problems. Then wife and mum sick. Now I'll fighting a sore throat + running nose and mild fever.

Got two other acquaibtance who bought AP recently also......like quite hot lately eh?
I also sold my rolexes then to get the PP. But I also took 99mths instalments for the PP so now eating grass (86mths left to pay).......
........just kidding LOL

Got dragged out of bed by the missus to go shopping......whacked some panadol and went. I guess I'll be on MC again for the next two days.

its an objective standard so doesn't matter. Mido would have factored it into the price you paid for a certified piece, so within your rights to demand it falls within specs.

Thats right bro yatto, its a gold rotor. Really loved every minute of it on my wrist! I had to send my wife to A&E just few days ago as she heated up to 40.5deg!! Now recovering with sore throat and cough. Hopefully it wont be my turn, did my best to keep a distance from her and she still ask me why? LOL. Take care bro and eat more fruits.

Thats right bro yatto, its a gold rotor. Really loved every minute of it on my wrist! I had to send my wife to A&E just few days ago as she heated up to 40.5deg!! Now recovering with sore throat and cough. Hopefully it wont be my turn, did my best to keep a distance from her and she still ask me why? LOL. Take care bro and eat more fruits.
