Btw did you know that the first Gen audi tt had a serious design flaw? Without the spoiler there's a chance that the tt would flip over at just over 100kmh.

If there ever were a watch brand for audi... I think it would be Sinn. What do you think?

Yeah i do. It was aerodynamicaly too smooth so they added spoilers to the later ones. Then the new models had the spoiler-on-demand.

The one we almost got was the one with the S tronic. But the lack of steering feel really put me off. I rem motoring also did a three way comparison of the TT, Brera and the 325 coupe.

Yeah man. Almost got the TT back in 2008 but got the brera instead. Lack of steering feel and the S tronic was what pushed me away. Have heard and read many horrir stories abt the dual clutch but mostly, if not all, are from VW. Shldnt porsche and audi suffer the same prob as well?



Hmmmm sincere seem to have quite a lot of indies. Arnold n sons, roger dubuis, just to name a few. They also have ALS which THG doesnt. Franck muller too.

The funny thing is, there were watches that appealed to my sensible side, but it was hard to get excited about them. Like when they were on my wrist, it was "oh cool, looks nice" but very little buzz.

Then there were those that when worn, set me buzzing, but found hard to justify on different reasons (price, movement, a bit too off the wall for a first one)

Sinn sounds a bit too sensible though. I was thinking along the lines of a well built, but slightly style driven brand.

But there is one watch brand that quite match a car brand well for me, and that's IWC and Mercedes. Both sell product that span a wide price range, both have safe design that age well, both to some extent do innovate, and they both have strong brand equity.

Last point's quite important cause for some reason, no matter how much you pay, or how deep the engineering is, that brand magic is still there.

I'm not too sure how far does the platform sharing goes, but I'm guessing the lower-end VW models would get the 7-speed DSG, while the more prestigious VAG brands would get something better?

Based on looks alone, out of MB, Audi and BMW, I would easily pick the Z4 if the wife wants a convertible/sporty small-sized coupe. Technology-wise, I've lost touch with what each brand is putting out year after year

Swiss Francs went up so much after their central bank let it float. It makes goods and products produced in Switzerland more expensive now. I guess all Swiss watches gonna increase in prices soon?

The date wheel wouldn't turn with the crown pulled at 1st position. It wasn't affecting performance otherwise but since it was still under warranty, decided to send it in anyways to have it checked.

My female friends in the gmc don't let me try. Cause the road narrow and our car very long.
Then we cock up flight, for extended one day in SF. Went to rent a civic for a day and went down the Lombard street. Lol quite fun. Wanted to rent mustang but too ex. My friend stay in U.S. say mustang or camaro no handling one. So he bought the Infiniti. He say a lot better.

The gmc I drove is 5.6L or smt. Damn big the engine.
Their cars engine all damn dua. A lot of Tesla, Maserati and Aston.

As usual mustang, camaro and corvette flooded the street. Lol mostly douchebags driving those cars.

Saw a lot of CL65 AMG on the road.
Cars toooo cheap there.
Friend say 30+ k can buy mustang or camaro. Lol cheaper than jap

U have to buy the dial from overseas websites. Dagaz or yobokies. Then buy thr seiko snzh or whatever model u want from any shops (or just buy from mr goh at K2), thrn ask him to mod.

Or u can check carousell. I saw a few ppl selling theirs. At a small premium though.

Initial Impressions:

1. Doesn't feel like a cheap watch. Perhaps the bracelet could have been improved to convey even higher quality.

2. Clarity of the dial is wonderful. Almost as legible as my Omega PO 8500. ALMOST.

3. Lume is as great, if not, better than the Omega PO 2500 series.

4. Case finishing is beautiful, or rather, breathtaking with the downward-curving lugs drawing obvious design cues from the PO.

5. Bracelet is perhaps my only gripe with this watch. But then again, at this price point, the price performance ratio might be even higher than the Steinhart divers

I used to think I couldn't carry off the looks of my 45.5 PO and 44 PAM321 either. I was pleasantly surprised that they fit real nice and I gradually got hooked to that look. One caveat though - the lugs must NOT overhang your wrist when it's flat on the table. Otherwise if the lugs are within your "flat" wrist, you should have no problem carrying off the looks of the watch IMHO
