Hi guys, just started working for a year and was thinking if I should get a decent watch for myself. Slogged pretty hard doing sales and thought should reward with a nice watch to perhaps remind myself to work harder.

What would you guys recommend for a budget of about SGD 3000 approximately? Ball? Federick Constant?

Probably can get a grey omega

hey guys,

I would like to know for a movement without hacking functions to stop the second hand when adjusting time, is it ok to wind it backwards so that the second hand will actually jerk a bit back while still trying to move forward and just maintain this till it synch with my handphone clock/computer clock second hand ?

Particular movement in question is miyota.

Hi bros, I wanted to buy a rolex submariner or GMT master 2... anybody got good AD to recommend?

When you mean good AD , do you mean by discount ? If yes then just visit any AD , cos zero discount for rolex sports model now.

Why not do some research and buy a vintage SMP? Shouldn't be too difficult to find one made in your birth year, IMO makes it a lot more meaningful. The hunt itself is also quite a rewarding experience.

A dress watch with nicely decorated mvt with local service get Frederick constant
Nomos great they have no dealer here, go Thailand or buy online

Sporty watch, longines etc. I hope u not looking at resale value.

If u don't mind grey buy from collectorstime.com, u can do COD since they are in KL

Asked the SMP moonwatch , retail at around $7k and now they increasing 10%..... i suspect rolex price also same. sigh the target watch just got further :(

If its your target watch I assume you have thought long about it so just hoot before the price increase if funds are there. Maybe cut down on other expenses for next month or so if you are nearly there.

I dont agree with the thinking to just hoot a watch just because prices are increasing. Its just so stressful, spend money to be stressed doesn't make sense. Furthermore anything bought hastilly is prone to regret. If one can afford a $7k watch, $700 shouldnt deter one from getting it in within a year's time or so.
